Dr. Timothy Alan Vanfleet, MD

I think Dr. Vanfleet is a victim of his own success. He is a good spine doctor, but does not consider that the patient may have other problems. I went to him for pain in my back and groin. He put me in physical therapy during which the therapist focused on my spine while the groin pain worsened. I request an MRI on my groin area and though that was the case. I went to my next appointment after 2 months of groin pain and Dr, VanFleet had me meet a PAC, not him, so told me that the MRI was of my groin when it was actually my lower back. I was told my option was a spine epidural pain block. My questions were not answered concerning the groin. I read up on the epidural and then went to a local doctor because I felt my concerned were ignored. The new doctor found that I have PSOAS which is a muscle that runs from the lumbar region, over the the hip and into the groin. I have been undergoing treatments and am getting better. If I had stuck with this office my options would be to mask the… pain, or have my spine operated on. Problem was that the issue was muscular. I think this doctor has a number of patients and is likely a great spine surgeon but you should listen to your patients better. I went for months with this injury untreated and is significant pain. I called the office a few times and was given the brush off and told that I would not get my MRI results until my appointment in two months. I don't even think Dr Vanfleet was aware of the problems I was having and he is a respected doctor. That is why I was so shocked at the shabby way I was treated as a patient.

They were very professional. I had xrays first. Then I saw the physician's assistant, Sally. She showed me my x-rays and MRI. Very helpful. She explained everything and showed me what was wrong. Dr. Van Fleet came in as well as Sally. He told me what he suggested that we try as a first step. He was very happy to explain the procedure to me so that I understood it. Ortho Center was very quick to schedule my procedure for a week later. They have a specialist that will perform the procedure in an OR setting with scans to make sure that the injection will be done in the correct location.

I had been to the Orthopedic center Dr. Vanfleet works at before but I was not properly treated nor did I end up with a solution or at least treatment plan until I switched to see Dr. Vanfleet. He was very informative, efficient, and he truly validated every pain point I showed him. I was very pleased and I am glad to be moving forward and hopefully finding a solution to my ongoing problem.

Dr Van Fleet helped me figure out what I need to do.. He was on top of his game and had GREAT bedside Manner which to me is very important. If anyone needs to see an Ortho guy...he's the dude to go too

Wonderful Dr explained everything to me and he PA is great too!!!

Dr VanFleet is good and thorough. He won’t do surgery unless absolutely necessary which is a good thing. His PA, Sally, is great too!

I have been going to Dr. Vanfleet for many years and have had many surgeries with him, he is very professional but I can also have an informative conversation with him about many things . I would never go to any other Doctor but him for my back problems. Thank you Dr. Vanfleet for always being there when I need you.

Dr. Vanfleet was very professional and caring at my appointment. He took the time to explain a surgical procedure I needed and answered all my questions. His nurse was very helpful and caring as well.

Dr Vanfleet is a total professional! He performed surgery on my back, the lower lumbar L4 - 5 level. He did an amazing job and I trust him completely, I wouldn't want anyone else!
