My provider is the best he explains the procedure to me in a very clear and relaxing way that makes me feel so comfortable that I was in good hands. He is very warm and patient and knowledgeable I had a great team who makes my entire experience a notch above all.

i highly recommend against this "doctor" , he has neglected me as a patient throughout my whole experience , i've been seeing this doctor for a while now, the first thing he recommended without having seen my condition was to get surgery, as a 19 year old, afterwards he didn't contact me for two months, as if he wanted me to have to get surgery, this doctor also withheld a medicine without telling me before hand that i've been on for over two years that i need for cramping for my colitis, he withheld it telling me that i would have to get labs done to get it and told me it was "within my power to go 'today' within the hour/today or anytime, i can choose to help my own care" , he told me this when i already had a appointment coming up, and as i asked him to not withhold it and told him i don't think it's a good idea to take a patient off a medicine they've been on for over two years , he then told me it was a bandaid and he "doesn't have time for this" and hung up on me , he hung up on… a patient for questioning him about why he was taking the patient off of a medicine they've been on for over two years and not even giving him a second to question it , he did this all while not caring or having any regard for potential stress that can worsen ulcerative colitis/symptoms , someone so cold hearted and full of themselves so much to the point where he is willing to put a kid through pain just to satisfy his ego should not be in health 'care' , and someone that will neglect their patients and their thoughts does not deserve the title of "Dr" , i highly recommend against seeing this "doctor", this is not a "doctor" , when i chose to see a different physician in a different Virginia Mason clinic he had his assistant Ian call me to cancel my appointment against my will, i told him this isn't a one sided conversation you can't just talk over a patient and not let them respond when you try to cancel their appointment against their will, he told me "yeah i can and this is a one sided conversation, i called you so i'm telling you" then he hung up on me, it takes a special kind of evil to do all of this to a patient

After 7 years of being misdiagnosed with IBS by other physicians, I went to Dr. Zisman and he diagnosed my true condition within 20 minutes. He prescribed proper medication and I have had no symptoms since.

My husband was admitted to University of Chicago upon spending 2 weeks at our local hospital, which was planning to send him home. Dr. Zisman saw him promptly upon our transfer. He also gave him a lot of individual attention when he saw that my husband was having a difficult time with his diagnosis. He made my husband feel as comfortable as possible. He called to check on him and he even came in on his day off to see how he was doing. After being released we have had to e-mail him with several ??'s throughout the passed 2 years and he has responded very promptly. He has gone the extra mile and made us feel that no ? was too silly. I would recommend him to anyone!
