Dr. Tina Marie Beck, DDS

Dr. Tina Beck is a board certified periodontist committed to providing the highest quality of care with compassion and understanding for every patient. As a native San Diegan and alumna of the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Beck is delighted to provide the most current periodontal procedures to the community of San Diego. From the moment you meet Dr. Beck her passion for dentistry is evident. She takes pride in educating her patients and thoroughly discussing all clinical findings and treatment options.
After graduating from UCSD with a B.S. in biology, Dr. Beck attended the University of California, Los Angeles to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. During her studies at UCLA, Dr. Beck developed a strong interest in periodontal surgery and dental implants. Immediately upon graduating, she moved to San Antonio, Texas to pursue specialty training in Periodontics and Implantology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. During her 3-year residency, …Dr. Beck simultaneously earned a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences. Her extensive research on bone grafting was published in the internationally renown Journal of Periodontology. In addition, Dr. Beck is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology, the highest academic achievement to be obtained in the specialty of periodontics.
In addition to being an accomplished periodontist in San Diego, Dr. Beck is also an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, California Society of Periodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, San Diego Society of Periodontists, and has been recognized both locally and nationally for her leadership activities in the dental community.
Periodontists are dental specialists who spend 3 years in postgraduate training after graduating from dental school. They are trained to diagnose and treat infections of the gum tissue and bone, perform bone regenerative procedures to restore lost bone and gum support around previously affected teeth, perform periodontal cosmetic surgery procedures to treat gum recession, careful placement of dental implants, and much more.
