Dr. Tirisham V Gyang, MD

I have seen multiple doctors with no answer to my symptoms. I went for this visit and did not know what to expect. She was very thorough and explained in a simple way. I finally have answers to what is going on. I am relieved.

I have seen many doctors about symptoms I have had for many years and there was no answer. Dr Gyang was very thorough and patient. She reviewed all my prior workup, she was able to figure out my diagnosis after getting a few more tests. This was a great relieve and I am now feeling so much better. I have had a wonderful experience with her and so thankful that she took the time to listen and figure out what I was going through.

I enjoyed by visit and she explained my symptoms very well.

I do not recommend this neurologist to anyone with a difficult diagnosis or looking for a second opinion. Shands tends to have all their patients see residents or fellows prior to the attending. By the time the attending came in she already decided what she thought before even completing an exam, which that all my symptoms and MRI findings were all incidental. This was far from a second opinion. Her recommendation for a number of symptoms affecting my everyday life, along with lesions on my brain and spine, were to, “Drink more water and start PT”. Of course, I have been doing PT already, which she did not know, because she did not obtain or confirm my history. I have seen good and thorough providers in the past, and she is far from it. My current neurologist was hoping she would have more insight, which is why I was referred for a second opinion, but she did not even pick up the findings on my MRIs that the official reads from the radiologists noted. I do not recommend this physician… for troubling neurological symptoms. In addition, she billed me the highest possible level, despite my time being with the resident, and billed me for reading MRIs, which she did not know how to interpret as proven by the radiologist and current neurologist.

This is her take on my 20 pound weight loss since I have been under her care. Since there is no real diagnosis, I do not believe she can truthfully say that. Certainly, she was not concerned with the fact that I am at 94 pounds at 5’7”, or that I have been dropping about a pound a week! I agree with the review which calls her a liar, to that I would add incompetence, she seems to have no clue what MS is.

I found Dr. Gyang to be an excellent communicator, using easily understood terms. Her personality gave one the feeling that she really cared and was truly interested in resolving my issues. I’ve seen 5 Neurologists over the past 10 years and she is by far the best

I went there for my MS. She said since I was over 60 years of age I didnt have MS. It left my body I went elsewhere and my MS is active and I got the myelin on the right side of my face attacked and which was MS Bells Palsy All seh wanted to do is send me to Physical Therapy and give me Black Box drugs and anti Depressants even though I am not depressed but will be from these addicting drugs. I am being treated by a real doctor who doesn't hate white Jewish people .
