Dr. Tirrell Tremayne Johnson, MD

Tirrell Johnson, MD is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He serves as a member of the Hematology, Melanoma/Sarcoma and Thoracic/Head & Neck Cancers Departments. Dr. Johnson fulfilled a fellowship in hematology/oncology from Brown University Medical Schools teaching hospitals in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr. Johnson earned his medical degree from the University of Florida and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors in chemical engineering from Florida A&M University. As a medical student, Dr. Johnson was the recipient of the Mark Herrbold Award, which recognizes outstanding academic accomplishments during the first three years of medical school. Actively involved in medical research during his fellowship and currently at MD Anderson Orlando, Dr. Johnson has served as the primary investigator for several forms of chemotherapy for advanced head and neck cancers and thoracic …malignancies. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
