As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, Todd Francis, MD, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology. After graduation, he attended Wayne State School of Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center where he completed a Master’s of Science degree, medical school, and a neurosurgery residency. He additionally completed his PhD in physiology in 2010.

Dr. Francis then went on to do a one-year fellowship in clinical spine surgery at Cleveland Clinic, where he stayed on as a staff neurosurgeon for five years. Eventually, he became Chief of Neurosurgery for the East Region and also taught as an assistant professor of surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve.

I has pain in my back and neck and also a severe headache. I ask you to please help me when you write the report because the patient’s life is more important than all the money in the world... I really have pain in my back, neck and head and I cannot sleep properly and he has tremors in his hands... Are these symptoms? I came from the accident. .... All my life, I have never seen all this and I have never visited a doctor..... Please, please, please look at my condition from a humanitarian standpoint and leave financial matters aside.... And remember that all the damages I suffered from the accident...no You compensate the world with money..... Remember that you are a doctor and leave aside the money that you will receive from insurance. Dr Francis is an all around awesome doctor! He is great at what he does and makes the process if needing back surgery so easy. Great bed side manners!!! Wont see anyone else but him!

Dr Francis is the best neurosurgeon out here! He’s upto date and not old school which is HUGE when it comes to spine surgeries. Highly recommended him!

Dr. Francis gave me my life back! I had been to sevral other surgeons in the metro Detroit area and I chose Dr. Francis because of his credentials (Cleveland Clinic trained!) and his bedside manner. I highly recommend him!

I can not say ENOUGH good things about Dr Francis. He was highly recommended to me after prior meeting with 4 other classless, horrible bedside manor surgeons. He was a true blessing!! From the moment you call his office with his professional staff, to the time you meet with Dr Francis. He takes his time, he is patient, kind and above all explains everything to a T. He also gives you options and works with you as to what will best meet your needs and end goal. He proformed surgery on me after having a failed back surgery prior by someone else. He fixed the problem and i was pain free the moment i woke up! He is by far the best of the best and i HIGHLY recommend him times 10!

Dr. Francis took excellent care of me. He gave me a very detailed diagnosis, and was very courteous. He explained my condition in great detail. Surgery went very well and I am 100% pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Francis!!

Dr. Francis is an outstanding neurosurgeon. He took the time to sit down with me and my family and truly explain what was going on with my back. My family and I went to a number of other places and none were as detailed as Dr. Francis. I am pain free for the first time in 9 years. My family and I are lucky we found such great care.
