Dr Todd S. Kim, MD

My recent Total Shoulder Replacement was a very smooth experience under the excellent care of Dr Todd Kim and his team. Pain control was very well managed and my post op course was uneventful. I am really happy with the results of the surgery.

I took a stumble, injured my mid foot and was referred to Dr. Kim. At the first visit he went over the injury in detail (with my X-rays and MRI pulled up), listed treatment options with recommendations and actually listened to and addressed my concerns. The surgery went without incident and every single follow on was treated in the same professional manner by not only Dr. Kim but his PA (Darryl), the nurses (especially Erica) and the pro who knew exactly how to slap on a cast (Jeremy). Scheduling was a breeze and when incidents I caused during rehab concerned me (like taking a dive off my knee scooter) I always received a call and/or email to ascertain whether I needed to come. Not that you want to break bones but if you do, Dr. Kim should be on your short list (and at the top) of docs you see.

Dr. Kim is more than a surgeon, he is a magician! He performed a very difficult complete reverse shoulder operation with consummate skill. A year later, it has healed completely and i have full range of motion. Remarkably, and why I call him a magician, is the fact that I had zero pain! No pills needed. With all the reconstruction, he managed to avoid creating pain! Astounding! The only way I can tell the shoulder was rebuilt is that I limit the amount of weight I bear on that shoulder. I can recommend Dr Todd Kim without reservation. This surgery was done at the VA hospital, so ratings for staff/office procedures don't apply to his private practice.

Dr Kim is exceptionally capable and has great empathy and professional skills. I feel very fortunate to have him as my surgeon.
