Dr. Todd Joseph Rasner, MD

Dr.Rasner has been my Doctor for I believe 18 years might be longer. He always listens to what I have to say. He finds solutions to my issues.He is a very caring Person and I recommend him to all my friends.

I am new to town, and this was my first time meeting Dr Rasner. He did a great job of making me feel comfortable. He answered all my questions and gave me the appropriate attention during the appointment. He was actively listening, engaging and provided clear information and responses that really helped me feel confident in my care with him!

My experience with Dr Rasner was very disappointing. My first visit he was very nice and I thought I found a good Doctor but when I had a problem he proved himself not to be the doctor I thought. My problem required an antibiotic. I told him I had an allergic reaction to penicillin and he said he ordered me something that was not pencillin. My pharmacist notified me that he found this medication in the family of penicillin and I may have a reaction. He recommended that I ask my doctor for another medication . I called Doctor Rasner and told his nurse my situation and she got back to me saying that Doctor Rasner would not change my antibiotic, knowing I could have a very serious reaction to it and possibly put me into the hospital. I have never had a Doctor refuse to protect my well being by refusing to give me a medication that would be safe to the best of their knowledge. Even with the pharmacist recommending I should make my Doctor aware I would be at risk taking this… medication. Doctor Rasner has betrayed my trust that he would put me at risk knowing that by taking this medication could harm me and he wanted me to take it anyway. I never had a Doctor not care about my safety and refuse to order me a medication that would be safe for me to take . Doctor Rasner will not be my Doctor any longer and I would never recommend him. A Doctor should always put his patient’s well being first. Very disappointed. Thank goodness not all Doctors are like him. Please don’t judge all Doctors by this one Doctor. I know there are many good doctors out there. We just have to weed out the ones that are not good. Very disappointed.

Dr. Rasner has been the most caring, kind and knowledgeable physician that I have ever encountered!! My care has been nothing but highly exceptional. I would recommend him to anyone who has OBGYN medical needs!! I feel very secure knowing that he’s my doctor! I'm forever grateful for initially delivering my three children and now helping me through awful menopause problems. You will not find a better and more attentive doctor than Dr. Rasner.

Dr. Rasner has diverted both of my children. Both pregnancies were high risk. However, Dr Rasner made me feel at ease. With each pregnancy he provided me with information that made me feel at ease. We talked about the birth plan, never felt forced and always felt like he had my best interest. I never felt rushed at any appointments and if I had concerns between appointments him and his staff were available. Near then end of my pregnancy, I saw the other Docrors in the practice and they were all so very nice. Honestly I would have been comfortable with any of them delivering my children. I will always reccomend Dr Rasner not one bad experience.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Rasner at this facility. It had been five years since I had last seen an OB (my last visit w/one had been a disaster) and I developed a problem shortly after an early term miscarriage. Stupidly, I tried to stall in getting the problem looked at, until waiting was no longer an option. I called several OB's around town and none would see me for a few weeks as I was a new patient. On most calls, I couldn't even get past the receptionist. Not Dr. Rasner's office. I called and they were willing to see me the very next day. Unfortunately, the problem turned about to be bigger than just a routine miscarriage. Dr. Rasner was very kind and treated my condition with an urgency which was impressive. Here I was, a new patient that he didn't know from Adam, and he was treating me like I was his number one priority! My care involved having to go and consult with another specialist. Instead of writing me off as the other doctor's problem, Dr. Rasner… continued to consult and converse with the other doctor. He provided me with the diagnostic studies I needed to get a proper diagnosis and never made me feel like I was wasting his time. And the other doctor he recommended turned out to be just as incredible as he was. It was a comfort to know that his involvement didn't end with the writing of a referral. The courtesy with which I was treated at the office was incredible. The staff was so kind and so considerate. It was one of the few times with a doctor that I felt like I really mattered as a person and not just a checklist of symptoms. I don't think a lot of doctors understand that kindness counts for an awful lot when you're going through something scary and unexpected. I intend to return to Dr. Rasner for all of my future care. I am very grateful for the way he treated me. I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of a patient and caring doctor.

I could not be happier with this doctor and the office staff. I transferred from another practice midway through my pregnancy because I felt like I was herded cattle. I saw a different doctor every visit and had no choice on who I could see. My best friend delivered three babies with Dr. Rasner. I was able to see him almost every visit. I met the other two doctors once just in case Dr. Rasner was not available when I went into labor. They were also very sweet and I would have been fine with either of them but Dr. Rasner came for my delivery even though he was not on call. It was just a great experience for my first pregnancy. I would not go any place else.

Since moving to Jacksonville in 2008, Dr. Rasner delivered my first baby vaginally then two years later my twins vaginally. He is a fabulous doctor that has an fantastic bedside manner. He cares about how I am doing from a medical standpoint AND a personal/emotional level. I am very comfortable talking to him and trust him fully. I feel grateful to have found him. His office is busy but he never makes me feel rushed so I don't mind the wait sometimes. Other patients I have talked to in the waiting room feel the same.
