Dr. Todd Jay Schiffer, MD

I felt disrespected and degraded by Dr.Schiffer while he consulted on my daughter's acne.I feel if I wasn't a female of color I would not have been degraded in such a manner.I have an LMSW from Fordham University so I am not uneducated.He told me in front of my two tween daughters" So you"ve been douching your daughters face".I told him I was using a natural remedy that I heard worked.Then he said it again.My child nor I know about douching. I think it was a vulgar and inappropriate response in front of 12 and 9 year old children.The Schiffer family have been my childrens pediatrician for 20 years.I will go back but I will request to change Todd Schiffer as my daughters pediatrician.

I'm outraged I had to take my sick infant to Lawrence hospital after a visit here to drop off a flu sample because for some reason they don't have anyone to drop off your labs...I've never had to do this anywhere my baby was sick with fever n flu and it was freezing and raining then I had to drag the baby in the hospital...wait 20min to register and then go to 2nd floor to then drop off the sample...wondering what my insurance is paying for being I had to do the footwork myself...I am def looking for a new dr..also the waiting area smells like vomit it is disgusting entire area is covered in carpet that probably has never been cleaned...horrible experience the worst
