Dr. Vanderheiden is extremely nice and very professional, he definitely takes the time listen to your concerns. He has set a plan in motion for my care and treatment, I’ve been experiencing pain and stiffness to my neck and back for years and hopefully he can give me some relief as needed. I would definitely recommend Dr. Vanderheiden to anyone who is experiencing cervical issues.

Dr. Vanderheiden is an amazing doctor, he provided me with the very best information in regards to my neck issues. He designed a plan and informed me of necessary procedures needed to treat my condition, when the time came to make a decision on my surgery he explained the entire procedure and what to expect. Dr. Vanderheiden included other specialist during my procedure for checks and balances. I am currently in the early stage of my recovery and expect a full return to health after his amazing treatment and care, if you are looking for a spin specialist do not hesitate requesting Dr. Vanderheiden.

Very poor ‘bed side manner’, almost walked out. He slammed the door when left room when I asked him to look up my X-rays instead of getting new ones. When he couldn’t pull up my doctor he told me I never got them taken. Assuming X-rays are easy money for them even though he did have my MRI!! Will never use again.

Dr Vanderheiden was great. My surgery was 100% successful and I am back to normal pain free activities. Thank you.

It's been almost a year since Dr Vanderheiden did my lower spine fusion and the horrible sciatica pain on my left side is totally gone! The operation, hospital stay, and rehab was tough but Doc or his staff was always available for rehab advise. You will not find anyone more skilled or proud of his craft!

Dr. VanderHeiden and Team did a great job on my Spine from start to finish. I had major lower back surgery and after 4 months of recovery I couldn’t feel better. His staff was awesome and had no problems with follow up, a well-orchestrated team. I highly recommend the best of the best

I would only recommend Dr. VanderHeiden if you have a medical-support team in place to work with after your surgery. While he is a qualified surgeon and he did a good job with my microdiscectomy, there was virtually no follow-up. The patient care immediately during and after surgery was outsourced to the hospital. They provided meds and called me the next day. He provided an e-mail address to contact him, but his assistant who clearly had little medical knowledge was the only one who ever responded - and never in a timely manner. My wife was given no home-care instructions, and we had to wing it with info we could find on line. His office never called to check in on me. At my two week follow-up, he had a PA cover it and he only popped in for a few seconds. They had no record of any of the meds I had been prescribed after surgery. He seems he thinks his job ends after the last suture is in place. He is a talented surgeon but not much of a doctor.

After many failed attempts getting relief from my back pain went to see dr vanderheiden . He did my fusion in sept 14 th now 14 weeks later my back feels amazing soo much better ... is whole staff and care team are wonderful I would recommend anyone with any back issues to go see him !!! Thank you to him and his team for giving me my life back
