Dr. Tom Thomas, DO

The most rude, unhelpful doctor. Made my daughter cry, didn't answer questions, or follow through on further needed testing. Just awful. Stay away.

This is the 2nd time he has treated me horrible, near tears. The first time he literally yelled at me, wanted to know why i came to see him, that my pcp could do my thyroid tests/levels. As time passed, I assumed he had a bad day and overlooked it. I saw him again and he was dismissive of my symptoms, didn't listen to me, was extremely rude! I felt like a child being scolded. I am not one to leave bad reviews but in this case it's necessary. I'll probably be calling Kelsey-Seybold about this. I've looked on this site and others and there are bad reviews, of others getting treated this way. At least I'm not the only one. I never, ever want to see him again.

I had a totally different experience than most people on here. I found him to be extremely attentive, thoughtful, and engaging. He explained my blood work in great detail, gave me a lot of treatment options, and worked through the choices with me with a very high regard for my input. We even discussed our kids, the challenges of fatherhood, and our jobs. It was actually the most honest, personal experience I've ever had with a doctor. He's very high energy and a little quirky, so that may explain the complaint that he talks over people. But I really enjoyed my visit with him and would highly recommend him.

I’ve been going to him for about 2 years now. Not anymore. My last visit he spent 2 min with me. Was more worried about my ac1 lvls then my thyroid which is what I see him for. Rude and condescending. I will not be returning. He was ok the first few visits but just got worse as the years went on.

Only gave this one star because I couldn’t give 0 stars but this by far was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a physician before, felt less broken finding out that I had a brain tumor!!! I didn’t even make it all the way through my visit without breaking into tears after he tried convincing me repeatedly that I am diabetic and trying to give me injectable diabetes medication!!! Never seeing him again, total waste of my $30 copay and my time!

Authoritarian. He didn't listen to my concerns, spoke over me and was incredibly dismissive and condescending. I went in because I have at least 15 different symptoms of hormone imbalance and he basically told me "nothing is wrong with you." Then sat and stared at me smugly without saying a word. It was THE most surreal moment I've ever had with any kind of doctor in my 40 years.

Doesn't take blood work at different times to compare goes of off one blood work and goes drastically. Horrible that he won't go step by step. Never replies to messages left with his nurse.

I saw Doctor Tom Thomas, on two different occasions. He appeared aggravated the second time I went into his office, about my thyroid issue and even resorted to using bad language. He was rude, unprofessional and very unfriendly. I feel like it is the right thing to do to warn people about how awful my experience was with this doctor. On top of just being a very bad-mannered doctor he did nothing to help my medical problem. So I had to make the time and spend the money to see another doctor.

He appeared to be overly energetic emotionally, yet a bit rude. He was extremely condescending, especially after I had said I had seen him before for the same problem and that the problem had gotten worse after receiving the last low testosterone treatments. His empathy for my situation getting worse was a bit disturbing. I guess everyone has a bad day so I will leave it at that.

1. This doctor is very odd, his social skills are a bit off. 2. Also he likes to give up easily and says there is nothing he can do for you. I asked him how metformin worked and he replies very quickly and abrubptly, as if he assumes you have no medical background, and won't understand him anyways. He is poor at giving explanations. I was hoping he would explain my questions in more detail as to how drugs work in the body. It is my body and I should know these things, and who better to tell you than a doctor, right? So I said I do not understand and he replied "sorry". He didn't want to take the time to talk to me or help me. He was in a hurry. For what I am not sure, there was no waiting patients. Basically, I have to find another doctor now to help me and I wasted my day because he is an idiot and now I will probably be charged by him for nothing.
