Dr. Tomas Acevedo Chavez, DO

Dr. Chavez was very patient with my adult son who has autism and OCD. He came in with a work injury and was treated immediately and Dr. Chavez explained why it occurred and ways that he can prevent it from happening again. He was also prescribed antibiotics and pain meds. Wonderful interaction and treatment! I highly recommend him.

My husband and I have both had excellent care from Dr. Chavez. He takes the time to be thorough and prescribe the proper drugs and needed tests. We also love his wonderful medical assistant who helped squeeze me in when I was very ill last year. So glad we finally found a kind thorough family practitioner in this area!

I was prescribed an incorrect and dangerous course of treatment which would have harmed me greatly had a I followed his advice. During my first appointment, I couldn't get a word in edgewise to share the important family history of conditions and he came into the appointment seemingly already having diagnosed me. He was rude, demeaning, and wound up prescribing a course of treatment for me that would have been harmful and dangerous. I did not take his counsel because every alarm bell within me was sounding when I left the appointment. I sought the counsel of another much more experienced doctor and received proper treatment that fixed my condition almost immediately with only a slight change to an existing medication. Dr. Chavez diagnostic skills are poor and in my case were grossly incorrect and would have harmed me greatly to follow his treatment advice. My insurance was billed nearly $500 for ONE visit. Do yourself a favor and do not go to this doctor. Find someone with… more experience and better credentials.
