Dr. Tommasina Papa-Rugino, MD

Just saw Dr Papa Rugino again,she and her staff are professional and caring ! I travel 40 minutes to appts thank god shes there!!

Today was my first visit to the office. I feel she was very nice, welcoming and I felt comfortable with her. I read a few negative reviews online but I had a actually had a excellent experience and will continue to see her. She had an excellent bedside manner.

As a patient for five plus years, I was comfortable going, not happy about it, but didn’t want to start over or travel. The dismissive staff, attitudes from the nanosecond you walk in... if they acknowledge you, rolling eyes, calling back (good luck with a competent welcoming person answering the phone) PappaRugino arrogant, acts like she’s being bothered, lack of follow through, I went for a second opinion about three months and In their child like manner decided to no longer have me as a Patient. Which , was, actually a blessing. Looking back there is no need to feel stress about calling your doctor’s office, there’s no need for receptionists/neurologist to be mean, snotty, tone of their voices is that of a teenager in a bad mood EVERY single time I had to go in or call with a question.. they huff and puff so much I wonder if their building will fall over. Either way you can get phenomenal neurological care without putting up with a staff and DR who lack people qualities. They… should just get a different job. Maybe go back kindergarten where you learn how to treat people. Couldn’t be happier their awful attitudes are in my review mirror. Imagine treating people like that in pain, chronic pain, life altering neurological conditions, etc?

She has been my doctor for many years & has been the best. Easy to talk to & very helpful with any concerns I've had.

I would highly recommend him for a South County doctor. There staff is another to be reckoned with I have never in all my years have seen such a disgusting attitude on a young woman( Tara) she must be a relative that they cant fire or a doctors wife . . As far as going back to this office -NEVER... I have spoken with my friends and told them find another office, you will get treated with such disrespect by staff! AS FAR AS THE OTHER REVIEWS THE OFFICE MUST BE WRITING THEM... I HAVE HEARD (STAFF) HAS A REALLY BAD REPUTATION OUT IN THE PUBLIC TOO.

Absolutely Superb Neurologist! Before Dr. Papa-Rugino placed me under her care I lost at least several years of my life prostrate with excruciating (wow!) pain from migraine and cluster headaches - both types are very different. However, over about the last ten years, The Doctor devised and adjusted treatment plans for both types that have given me my life back - she never gave up! My immediate and extended family, full of distinguished MD's here and around the world, have told me: "Don't you dare go anywhere else!" Most importantly my wife and children are greatly relieved! God Bless Dr. Tommasina Papa-Rugino - a real Doctor!

Front desk staff have the worst attitude problem, especially Tara. She and the others make you feel like you are a bother. Papa-Rugino comes off as a great doctor, but she goes behind patients taking about them. She has a god complex. If you have serious issue look for a doctor who works well with others.

First doctor to actually listen to me. Finally diagnosed after 14 years. Thank you to Dr. papa Rugino and her great staff (Tara and Diane)!
