Dr. Tonia M. Young-Fadok, MD

66 year old male diagnosed with colon cancer. Called Dr. Fadok because of her outstanding reputation. I had an appointment to see her in three days, and I was scheduled for surgery in ten days. Her lathroscopic technique had me back on the golf course in two weeks. That says it all except you must go to Mayo and see how blessed we are in AZ to have such a wonderful medical facility!

Very pleasant at first, but exceeded consent and pre-surgical discussion of what was to be done; did planned consented procedure then another whole procedure that contributed to complications. multiple complications passed off to residents and fellows. Ended up not knowing what to do; sent me home in bad shape. Did not request help from colleagues as to what to do when I requested her to do so. Was not her only patient there at the time with serious unrecognized post-op problems. Starts to write patients up as "obsessive" if recovery does not go well and she does not know how to deal with the complication. Serious disregard for resultant nutritional deficiency.

Dr.Young-Fadok preformed my colon surgery almost 10 years ago. I think of her often and have the so much respect for her as an individual and surgeon! Doctors like her are few and far between
