Transfer patient from closed practice. 1 visit with doctor. Removes 3 pain support medications. 2nd visit PA-C Abby Marx, rude to me and the asst. Further reduction in medication. "Dr says.." so he should have told me of plan to further reduce. Found out no records were sent to purchase. Old clinic closed now. 2nd visit with no current lumbar MRI report. I have disc he isn't interested in. Neither visit included a physical exam of my pain. This is blind medicine. I've been on pain management more than 2 times he's been this doctor! I dont want to be pain free. I want to return to my previous low level of daily life so I may fix a sandwich and not require asst at toilet!

Excellent doctor who genuinely cares. The rest of the staff there is wonderful as well! Nothing but good things to say and I would definitely recommend this doctor to anyone for their pain!

I have been a patient of Dr Owens for several months. I was immediately impressed with his beside manner and felt like I on good hands based on the things he said. How ever I have had numerous problems with his staff. When you leave a message for his "nurses" they may or may not call you back. Several times I would have an issue that Dr Owens told me would be handled by the "nurses". Not only would they not handle it most of but most of the time they would not even return a phone callcall The final straw came last week. As I was leaving my appointment I noticed I didn't have a script for one of my medications. I asked about it. Told the girl at check out what I was missing and asked her if she would get it for me. Out of no where this women who has never identified herself to me or even said hello came charging into the waiting room and said to me , in front of all the other patients there in a very loud, very hateful voice, that " the script for loratab has been faxed to the… pharmacy and that's the only one your are getting. There is no way we are going to give you two scripts for that medicine this month and if you try to get anyone in this office to do that again you won't be welcome here". WHAT? I mean really WHAT?! I WAS IN SHOCK! The receptionist quietly apologized but the damage was done. Not only was I accused of being some kind of drug seeking liar but the waiting room full of patients was just told what kind of meds I take. There was no reason at all for her to behave that way. In all the time I've been at this office there was never any issues at all. Nothing. I have never been more humiliated.

He treats your symptoms but also looks to find a cure or the closest thing to it .It seems to me, he believes there are more methods to treat pain than just meds., He listens to your problem and accepts your feedback, as to what is or what isn't helping the pain. And what else might . He looks for a fix instead of a Band-Aid .He treats you like a person instead of a file folder. His staff are all courteous and friendly and I would definitely recommend him to my friends.

He wrote my RX for the standard drug, not the extended release. He never has touched my arm or asked me any questions regarding my pain and I was hoping for something more than another RX. I feel he does not listen to anything I say and he gets very frustrated when I bring up issues.

I have received great and extraordinary care from Dr. Tony Owens and his staff. Everyone is very pleasant. Dr. Owens is a very caring and compassionate Dr. He listens to your concerns and cares about your pain and well being. I highly recommend Dr. Tony Owens and his friendly staff .
