Dr. Tonya Yvette Perkins, MD

Very rude impatient and disrespectful

Dr. Perkins is genuinely concerned with her patients. To me she is exceptional and has never shamed or scolded me as if I were a child or a charity case. Dr. Perkins listens and follows up on everything we talk about. So basically she designs a special program for the patient for their overall wellness. That is why I trust her with my loved ones and friends.

Dr. Perkins is a total mess. She is very rude and very impatient. She panics about everything and should be in thr crazy house. I would never recommend her as doctor or ever trust her judgement or her doing anything to me. If i catch her on the streets she better watch out for these hands. Oh and that hair of hers gotta go.

I can't stand her!! I'm glad I'm not going to her anymore.

She's not very nice. Kept insisting I was high risk and I was not. Finally found a different doctor at 8 months.

Dr. Perkins has been my doctor for several years and she is great. She was interviewed on the local news station several years ago and that it how I found her.

I was glad that I visited the info session with Dr. Perkins about natural hormone replacement therapy. She was very knowledgeable and shared research data about the pellet. During my one-on-one she made me feel very comfortable about the pellet treatment that I decided to get.

I am a new patient of Dr. Perkins who utilizes her natural hormone therapy. My Ob/Gyn only prescribes synthetic hormones and I had a high interest in going natural. I feel great! Dr. Perkins and her staff do a great job of explaining everything and the office looks and feels like home. I will never use anything but natural hormone therapy in my life. The diffrence it makes is phenomenal.

Dr. Perkins would rather discuss your new purse with you than your medical condition. I dont trust her medical judgment. She also sells some kind of supplements and will try to offer them to you every time you visit her. Last time she recommended screening my blood for hormones (so she could sell supplements) promising it would either be fully covered by my insurance or my highest out of pocket expense will not exceed $30. When I received a bill for $160 after my insurance paid off its portion, I was shocked. My dissatisfaction with this doctor grew over time and after I was billed for that blood test, I decided to find a new doctor. On the upside I want to mention that the lady who works at Dr. Perkins office (I think her name is Daniela) is always very nice, sweet, prompt, and helpful. Dr. Perkins is lucky to have that nurse on her staff.

I want to express my thanks to Dr. Perkins for me having a great first Christmas with my son. He was born by emergency delivery at 28 weeks due to unexpected bleeding. Dr. Perkins did a c-section and got him out in less than 3 minutes. I was told after he arrived that had there been any further delay he probably would not have made it. Dr. Perkins not only made my prenatal care experience great but also made my recovery after delivery bearable checking on me and my son in the NICU. As a first time mom I had a lot of questions and Dr. Perkins always answered them and explained things well. Her nurse was great too whenever I called about anyting. My son is fine today and I thank God I had a great doctor who not only knew how to do her job well but also cared about me as a patient.
