I have been a patient of Dr. Roth for several years and have nothing but praises for his professionalism, communications skills, and the holistic approach to medicine that he practices. In my view, he is an excellent diagnostician who takes the time to explain the conditions, causes, and treatments to his patients. I never felt rushed in his presence as he was willing to answer all my questions, taking as long as necessary. I wish all my doctors had the same professional skills as Dr. Roth. My experience was similar to those who gave this doctor a 1-star rating. It was obvious he lacked patience and interest and seemed in a hurry. He may be a great doctor technically, but listening to patients, showing a little respect is part of the profession. I would not recommend this doctor and am looking for another cardiologist.

I saw dr Roth a few years ago and he told me my stress test had shown that I could have a heart attack any minute. He was rude and unkind and indicated that I could be found too late after the inevitable heart attack (which could occur anywhere) and be an invalid for the rest of my life or die. He ordered an angiogram to confirm his diagnosis. In fact, my test had shown an “ equivocal” result. A heart scan ordered by a different doctor showed no cardiac problems, no plaque, noreason for concern. I still have no heart disease. A cardiologist from my hometown said no one can predict an imminent heart attack. Dr Roth just decided to order an invasive test. I was disappointed in his attitude and in his lack of empathy. I had expected more from the NCH Heart Institute. I was left wondering how many unnecessary tests are administered.

He is arrogant. I asked a question and his reply was 'You wouldn't understand. Actually I would. He knew nothing about me or my education. He was condescending and misogynistic.

I would never reccomend Dr. Roth. He might have excellent training and education, but he doesn'y have any bed side manner and in the office he likes to key on his computer rather then having eye contact with his patients. He ordered a test that was not performed according to accepted protocols when I went back to the Cleveland Clinic. All he wanted to do was do another cath and not consider medication alternatives. He should be confined to the cath lab where he probably is one of the best here in Naples. Post script I did not need any additional testing and I saw a cardiologist whose master is not NCH and his care has been excellent.
