We were referred to Dr Weigel when a small potential lung met was unexpectedly found during surveillance after my husband’s treatment for Stage IV CRC. She was professional but warm, thorough (looked at the big picture) and we had a great outcome. Glad to not have to go to NYC or Boston. Dr. Tracey Weigel operated on my husband in 2011 for esophageal cancer stage 2. She performed a minimally invasive esophagectomy. It is 8 years later and my husband is doing very well. We credit Dr. Weigel for her very skilled hands and expertise. She also demands excellence from all the professionals who care for her patients. I remember her saying that "I am only as good as the weakest link". She will not tolerate anything but exceptional care for her patients. Dr. Weigel is an outstanding surgeon and she has dedicated her life to caring for her patients and training other surgeons. We were so fortunate to have her during a very scary time in our lives. She did save my husband's life and we are forever grateful. If you need a thoracic surgeon- she is the absolute best of the best.

10 years ago Dr Weigel did a mini thorocotomy wedge resection of my RLL. Removed an adenoma and sewed tiny radiation beads into the suture line ( since that is the most likely place for reoccurrence.) I felt so confident in her abilities, that I never questioned her operative plan. Dr Weigel is simply my hero. I believe that she saved my life. I was sad when she moved to NY from Wisconsin, but now I am grateful that she can practice there, and hopefully train some new surgeons along the way. Thank You Dr Weigel. You are the very best!

Dr. Tracy Weigel treated me when all other specialists said my cancer was too far along. She saved my life, or at least extended it...

She did a lung biopsy on my husband and when he ran into some problems, she was right on the phone with us and her nurse giving us all the help she could and really listening to my concerns. She always talks TO YOU not at you and gives you both sides of things to consider and lets you make your own decisions. She may give you a gentle nudge in the right direction. She is caring, kind and a great doctor. She is also laid back and funny but tells it like it is at the same time. An all around good person and awesome doctor. Could not ask for anything more. Her nurse is outstanding too and caring, which makes up a good team. Thank you so much Dr. Weigel.
