Dr. Tracey Charlette Wilson, MD

She knows her stuff. She didn’t jump into a surgery when I 1st saw her. She asks questions that help her diagnose accurately. She has done her best w/ me because I have a lot of issues. I thought at 1st she would be of no help like the many other Urologist’s I have seen. The portal is great. I get a reply within 24 hrs. She does what she can for me. I hope that due to my mesh erosion & foreign body reaction that I will someday get this mesh completely out; even if it ends up being during my autopsy. We can’t blame the Dr’s for looking out for their best interest financially & their medical decisions. Would you expect to get paid much less than what your experience in your line of work is. Also, all of here comments saying she is just in it for the money. If that were the complete camas; she would do repeat surgeries for maximum profit. This is not the case when it comes to my experience with Dr. Wilson- she doesn’t intervene surgically unless it is completely necessary because there… are risks of damage that can worsen my symptoms which is out of her control.

I have been with Dr. Wilson for over 11 years. I am very satisfied with Dr. Wilson, Doreen Perkins and The Kirkland Center. She is very knowledgeable about her field. She has always been very caring and concerned. I have not had not one time where she didn't listen to me and gave me her comments about my concerns. Doreen Perkins/CRNP is just as friendly as Dr. Wilson. I really look forward to a visit with them. My wait time has never been over 15 minutes.

I was referred to the urology department by a neurologist i saw at the Kirklin Clinic at UAB. Let me explain how I came to meet Dr Tracey Wilson. First I got a call from a nurse to let me know the neurology department had scheduled me for an Urodynamic study test in Urology. Then weeks later another call came in, this time I was told that a urology doctor named Tracey Wilson had ordered to have my test canceled. I of course was confused so I asked what happened. I was then told that I must see her first and that she will be the one to determine if I need a test done and that she didn’t appreciate that my neurology doctor was ordering a urology test without her knowledge. I responded that I understood and that I hope Dr Wilson knows that wasn’t my doing but the neurologist’s scheduling team. So it came the day to meet Dr Tracey Wilson, she seem easy to talk to at first but as soon as she realized i was a referred patient from the neurology department her whole demeanor changed. My… husband noticed it as well, but we gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought she must be having a bad day. A few days later I had the Uro-test Dr Tracey Wilson recommended. Lastly about a two weeks later Dr Tracey Wilson did a telemed call for a follow up to explain test results, her demeanor and bedside manner was very cold and uncaring! There was simply no empathy. She wouldn’t give me an answer to my questions as all she kept saying was to go back to my neurologist for answers and that she simply couldn’t help me. I was quite disappointed with her attitude. It looks like she didn’t like the neurology department ordering tests at her Urology department and totally dismissing her as a doctor for consultation. Look! I totally understand, but the fact is, I felt like I got caught in the middle of “their business” and I didn’t get the care or help I needed. Doctors need to put personal feelings aside and focus on what they are meant for, and that is help and aid patients. Dr Tracey Wilson was a waste of my time, I only just found out she has an extensive history of mistreating patients this same way in the past. I wish I would have known of this before I was referred to her. I do NOT recommend this “doctor” to anyone! UAB needs to do better at selecting them.

One of the worst physician experiences I have ever had. Would not recommend. Not interested in helping me resolve my issues.

Even though she had horrible reviews I decided try for myself. Her reviews are accurate. UAB needs to do something about this professional before she runs mad in more lives. A very bitter woman and takes it out on her patients and blames her own behavior as it being the patient. Very unprofessional.

If only all doctors were so knowledgeable and kind. Many many thanks to her and her wonderful staff!!

I saw this physician for the first time 3 years ago in the spinal cord injury clinic. Prior, I had been seeing one of partners for many years. When she walked into the exam room, the thought was all heck, strictly business like what the heck you want. The next year I saw her she was a little milder but presented an approach as, "state your business I don't have all day". The last time I saw her it was I don't your test results, I will call you later. Trust me, she was not in the room 3 minutes. To me, her personality is low, bedside manner is low. I can't see why the other doctors that have been there will allow her to stay in that practice. She has taken over the spinal cord clinic at Spain which appears to now be declining. Do your research first!!!!!

I have been seeing this doctor for about 3 miserable years. I had been to the group in Homewood that thought I was drug seeking and told me there was nothing else they could do. I call UAB and this is the doctor they assigned me too. Granted she got my pain under control without narcotics. She used Lyrica that helps nerve pain. I have had break through pain that is unbearable. I have had several back surgeries I am more than familiar with nerve pain. My last visit she recommended me to UAB pain clinic. I have interstitial cystis and it is a living nightmare to put it mildly. It is so bad I don't sleep and just shake like a dog.. Don't waste your time with Dr. Tracy Wilson, unless you love to be insulted. I am going out of the UAB health system to seek another doctor. I wish everyone luck that has left a review.

This doctor has major attitude issues. The first two visits, she was abrupt and to the point but on the third she was just down- right rude and insulting. Totally uncalled for and unprofessional. I have been pleased with most doctors at UAB but am very unhappy with this person and am planning to find another doctor. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but no one should have to put up with such disrespect out of people who are supposed to be "caregivers".

Dr. Wilson was very kind and very caring. She is very knowledgeable and gave me all the time I needed to ask all of my questions, and answered me in a way that I could understand. She was very respectful to me and I appreciated that. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
