Dr. Tracy Cerniglia, MD

We switched to Dr. Cerniglia for my son after we went in for a same day appointment while my son was sick, and she asked about her umbilical hernia. That indicated that she had read his charts and that she cared enough to be through in looking at eveything about my son, who had never been seen by her before. His primary care doctor didn't bother to mention it or inquire about it anymore, even though it was still a concern for us. She answers questions and doesn't make you feel like you are in the wrong for asking. Yes, she's often quick with her work, but she's doesn't appear rushed and will spend more time with a patient if needed. She currently sees both of my children and I really like that we have a doctor I feel like I can trust.

Our three kids have been seeing doctor Cerniglia for the last four years and she has been an outstanding doctor.

I went in with my son who had been having some symtpoms that had started, that alarmed me to Diabetes (my husband has it as well). I insisted to Dr Cerniglia that we check for it. I was told that he just had a "virus", that a child with untreated diabetes would not look like he did at the moment. She also looked at the rash that had suddenly developed when the he started urinating frequently. I was told it was just "irritation" and to let it air dry. I was told he would feel better by the end of the week. By Friday, he was even worse and just kept spiraling downward. I finally took his blood glucose level using my husbands machine when he got home. It was so high, the machine couldn't even read it. He was admitted to the ER with hyperglycemia, severe DKA, and severe dehydration and was in the ICU for 4 days! The rash was a bad yeast infection for the high glucose urine he was passing frequently. She always seemed like she is in a hurry when she has seen us before, and this is the last… straw. In my opinion, my son suffered much longer than he had to because of this doctor. She will never see any of my family again!
