Pushes surgery. Does not have the time to talk to you. If you try to ask questions he will quickly shut you down and states he has to go to the next customer... Pilkington is Very hyper and always is a crazed, wild rush. Would not recommend for a visit or surgery.

Dr Pilkington repaired my broken humerus bone, saving my career and restoring my peace of mind. I will always be grateful.

I had an anterior hip replacement done July 2016 by Dr Pilkington. He is not great on the charm department and is very busy but his work is first rate. He controls every aspect of his surgical prep and recovery and the hospital staff rave about him. He uses a Physical Therapy company that only does in home orthopedic care and are they ever good! I was walking without a walker or cane 8 days after surgery. My other hip is going and he is in no rush to replace it, thank God. I know that he won't do surgery if you are overweight. I recommend him highly.

Met Dr Pilkington last year. He was very direct and to the point on what I needed done. He explained the procedure and answered all my questions which I appreciated very much.Ended up having total left hip replacement and I am so happy with the results. No more pain and quick recovery. I would highly recommend Dr Pilkington to anyone that is considering Hip surgery. Thank you Dr. Pilkington.

I saw Dr. Pilkington in 2013 for a shoulder injury from softball that had been an issue for years. I really liked that he made sure to cover all tests before deciding to move forward with surgery. That included xrays, MRIs, and a special test with dye to check the joint itself. He went out of his way to make sure I understood what the issue was, where the tear was, and what he planned on doing in order to fix it. After surgery, I remember waking up as I was leaving the OR and he asked one of the surgical techs if I wore glasses. When he realized that I couldn't see well without them, he leaned in closer (to make sure I could see who he was) as they were taking me to recovery and waved, told me I did great, and he'd come to visit me in recovery in a little bit. He print out before and after pictures of the tears that he fixed and went over what was done. During my follow up, he again brought out the pictures since he knew I was kind of out of it after the surgery and explained… everything. Dr. Pilkington is a fantastic surgeon and I've since referred several people to him. He's very straightforward and doesn't try to push surgery as an option just because of the payoff. He wants to make sure there is a problem and know what that problem is before subjecting a patient to surgery. The office visits are usually a little lengthy because of the time spent waiting for him to come to your room, but it's a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things.

Very short and not informative. Didn't answer questions and did not call in prescriptions accurately.

I have unevenly worn cartilage in knee. It is almost bone on bone on the inside. He refused to do any surgery. He said it was not bad enough. The orthopedic doctor that referred me to him thought it was. I am in constant pain. I am going to go to another orthopedic surgeon.

SAW DR PILKINGTON FOR INJURED HIP, IT BAND AND HAMSTRING HE REFUSED AN MRI AND TOLD ME WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE HE GUARANTEED HE WOULD FIND NOTHING ON MRI AND NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH ME , SO NOW I AM SOMEWHERE ELSE AND HAVE BEEN IN THERAPY FOR 2 MONTHS I HAVE REPORTED HIM TO THE MEDICAL BOARD ON 10/152014

I recentley had a hip replacement done a excallent job so far from the time i woke up great i have hurt and used acane and electric scooter for 6 years hurt 24 hours a day he saved my life i also need knee replacement cant wait to get it done i high recomend him
