Dr. Tristan Berry, MD

Great Doctor!! Dr. Berry has great bed side manners. You can tell that he is mature in his profession and knows his specialty well. He answered all my questions and concerns. I would recommend any of my family members to Dr. Berry. Dr. Berry has a great medical staff I would like to mention Misty she does a wonderful job with accommodating Dr. Berry patients according to their needs.

Dr. Is ok. Office staff is terrible. Need a prior auth for prescribed medication and have left multiple messages for nearly two months and still nothing not even a call back.

Wrote the review about $269 charge. After a couple days and many phone calls, I talked to Ghandi who figured out a billing code problem. I therefore withdraw my 1 star review and give 4 stars.

RIPPED OFF $269.81 BY DR. BERRY AND TMC ONE. I told Dr. Berry that I had recently had a prostate exam, but my urologist was moving their office far away. I just needed an RX that could have been written by my other urologist, but I was using that as a reason to start up with Dr. Berry. I TOLD DR. BERRY NOT TO GIVE ME A PROSTATE EXAM, SINCE INSURANCE PROBABLY WOULD NOT COVER IT DUE TO MY FORMER EXAM. At then end of my visit, Dr. Berry insisted on the prostate exam, and billed the visit as such. Medicare denied payment as well as my Medigap policy, which was EXACTLY what I had warned Dr. Berry about. I was billed $269.81, the full amount, not the discounted amount that the insurance would have paid them. I asked about the discounted amount, but TMC ONE would not budge. TMC ONE billing essentially said TOO BAD, PAY THE FULL BILL. Even a walk-in without insurance would have paid less, but since I had insurance, I had to pay more. GREEDY, SHORT SIGHTED, TMC ONE BILLING. No more… Dr. Berry. Who knows what additional things they could do to bypass Medicare, Medigap, and all else to maximize their profit, despite losing a long term patient.

Awful. Charming and personable which is probably why he has any good reviews. Doesn't return calls, like ever, and neither does anyone in his office. I have an endless list of complaints but I'll just choose the top 3. Told me I might have bladder cancer (Im 34, and dont smoke, doubtful), and then took a month to give me my results (after calling non stop). Then he had me go in for a biopsy and when i showed up (I took off work), he said nevermind it probably was just irritation from the catheter. Then I got a UTI and called him for antibiotics, he said he'd phone in a prescription and never did, even after i called 3 times reminding him. I ended up in the ER for the UTI and have been pissing blood for 2 weeks, he refuses to return my calls and his assistants arent any better. Plus you can never get a hold of them, its always busy. He also has a horrible reputation, his patients always have complications. Worst, most incompetent doctor I've ever had. RUN!!!!!!!

Dr. Berry is an outstanding physician, and I highly recommend him. He is easy to communicate with and explains everything clearly. Tucson is fortunate to have him available. Not so his administrative staff. If you're told you'll get a call to schedule an appointment, you'll probably have to call back once or twice to make it happen.

He is apparently good at performing operations and getting paid, but it stops there. I my case he wasn't/isn't interested in the final result. No follow up to determine if the job was completed and nothing but pain and blockage problems for the next 2 months. When blockage prevented me from urinating, after the catheter was removed and toxins built up to the point of being extremely painful, I went to the office to have a catheter reinstalled, but was told "we are too busy (to take 10 min.) to help you today. Call back for an appointment next week. 3 times I ended up in the emergency room at TMC due to a lack of interest on the part of the doctor or his staff. Finally he took at look at his incomplete job and said, "Oh! It looks like there is a lot of debris still left in there. I will check with the VA and get approval for funding to go back in and clean it up (finish the job). Even a carpenter or painter takes pride in his work and makes sure it is complete before expecting payment.

My husband visited Dr. Berry and had a procedure, which he subsequently had terrible crippling pain and complications from. Dr. Berry did not return phone calls, and my husband could not get past his office staff to deal with the problems. We were terribly disappointed and would NEVER recommend him.
