Dr. Tyson Edgar Marrs, MD

Dr Marrs is not just a dentist, he’s an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He’s the guy in the OR in the middle of the night operating on facial and dental trauma! I can’t say enough good things about him! He went over everything with me before he even numbed me. I didn’t know this at the time but he was a student instructor during his residency and it’s very obvious that he loves to teach. I had two extractions and a couple of suspicious lesions on my tongue that he looked at. He examined me, told me what he thought, and presented me with the options. Ultimately I decided to watch and wait on the biopsy. The teeth he pulled were the last molars in the back of my mouth, one on the top right and one on the bottom right. So the whole right side of my mouth had to be numbed and I hate that part. But he was very gentle and numbed the skin with topical before the big long dreaded needle. I opted against going to sleep and the extractions were pretty difficult (for me). The one on top… had to be taken out in 3 pieces so there was some drilling involved. He did his best to keep me comfortable and when I winced he automatically gave me more lidocaine. Throughout the procedure he always kept me informed of his progress and how I could aid him with positioning. I have to say, if I had known how difficult the whole thing was going to be, especially with hearing all the popping and cracking, ?? I would have opted for anesthesia. But I’m so glad I had Dr Marrs for such an unpleasant but necessary procedure. I highly recommend him!
