Dr. Ugoala Chikezie Banks, MD

Dr. Banks in my opinion is the best cardiologist I known in over 2 decades. Since he moved his practice, I haven't found another like him. He's caring, compassionate, and he listens. He do all the necessary test before giving a diagnosis. He's not quick to cut you open for a dollar. He offer less evasive procedures if permitted. He personally return calls and after a procedure someone from his staff followup within 24 hours. The only knock I would give him is that the wait time can be longer than expected due to surgery which can be impredecible. But, that speaks volumes of the surgeon he is. I wouldn't want to be the one on the table being rushed through surgery just so the surgeon can make a few extra dollars. I love Dr. Banks and hope he return back to the DC area where he is loved and cherished. On a scale of 1-10, I would give him 100+

My suggestion: go to a doctor that cares about people- not the$. Called and asked if Dr Banks would see my 15 year old daughter. I was told yes, as long as I brought in the ER documentaion which I did send to Dr Banks the day before. My daughter and I showed up for her appointment and after waiting 1.5 hours for the doctor to see us; he sends in his nurse (who was very nice and apologetic) to tell us he would not see us and for us to go to a pediatric cardiologist. This doctor did not have the human dignity and integrity to come and tell us this himself! Obvious to me this doctor is about $ and not the patient because instead of coming and explaining to us why he refused to see us he was meeting with a pharmacuetical rep from Pfiser. I am not upset that he would not see us....upset he felt we were not worth his time or effort to talk to us and explain it to us.

Dr Banks is the best dr. He is very nice and unlike a lot of drs in that he listens and has genuine compassion. I am glad he chose to practice in this area because he would be an asset to any facility. Thank you Dr Banks.

Dr.Ugoala Banks is the best Cardiologist that I've known. He is very nice, approachable and he is down to earth type of a person. He is always accurate in all his diagnosis. I spoke to some nurses, patients and even doctors....all said that they will highly recommend me to Dr. Banks. I will also highly recommend Dr. Banks to all those people who have heart problems.
