Dr. Ulker Tok, MD

Dr Tok diagnosed my Stills disease over 12 years ago and since then she has assisted me in controlling it. She has always very concerned about my overall quality of life. Without her I probably would of passed on many years ago.

Dr. Tok did a complete diagnosis of my medical conditions, and immediately got me off of prednisone. She put me on methotrexate and within weeks it was a world of difference. My leg and foot swelling decreased over several months and I am so thankful for meeting Dr. Tok and following her medical advice. She is strict and blunt in the office, and that personality trait is fine with me since I went there for medical assistance and medical intervention. Dr. Tok produced incredibly good results for me and I will always be thankful. 5 stars to the doctor and her very attentive office staff.

Dr. Tok has a horrible bedside manner. She interrupts, argues and draws conclusions while I try to explain my symptoms. This was my intitial visit after a referral from my family Dr. I dread my next visit. If she exhibits the same attitude I will move on.

I started With Northwest Rheumatology a month or so ago. I was seeing doctor Tok, our first meeting she was very short with me and didn't really take the time to listen to my case. Dr. Tok was very quick to just prescribe medication and get me out the door. I went back for follow up appointment that ended up being an hour late. No one could tell me why Dr. Tok was running behind which wasn't a huge deal except for the fact that I had another appointment. I simply wanted to know if I would be seen before my next appointment. Dr. Tok ended up coming in at witch point I simply asked why were you running behind today filling justify knowing that my appointment was an hour late. I made sure to ask just normally in away of just trying to start a conversation. I didn't say it rudely to any degree. At this point she stood up a began to yell in my face, screaming at me to leave witch I got up without saying a word and was leaving at this point she followed me into the hallway becoming more… irate. Dr. Tok processed to say she was calling security. Witch I still don't understand as I was trying to leave. Out of all the Doctors I see and have seen, Dr. Tok is by far the most unprofessional. If you are able to I would say go elsewhere.

only saw her once , she has a very bad attitude and I would never go back to this doctor again.

She is strange. She made little eye contact, did not exchange the usual pleasantries, sat at her computer and asked questions as if she was bored and disinterested, dismissed any answer that was unacceptable to her, and ignored comments I made about my condition. That was visit 1: uncomfortable, subtly hostile, and odd. During visit 2, the crazy came out to play. She was late to the appointment and was already visibly annoyed. When I asked her to tell me what was going on with me, a very legitimate question and the reason we were both there, she just lost it. She exploded. That was enough for me to cut the visit short and seek out a dr who is also a normal human being. Based on her odd behavior, I’m not sure if she knows what she’s doing or not and I’m not willing to risk it or deal with the drama that comes along with her office visits.

I saw Dr. Tok once in her office and once via a telemedicine site. In person, she does not smile and she makes very little eye contact. She asks questions in a monotone voice as if she is bored, while typing on her computer. She did a physical exam and I felt like I was in bootcamp. She barks orders at me to move this way or that way. It's a rather disconcerting and unnerving experience being in her presence. When you go to a doctor, you may be nervous and a smile and kind words go a long way. If someone is committed to medicine and good overall health, you expect them to be compassionate. I was not planning on returning, but she took a lot of blood for testing and I wanted to know the results, and since it was during the coronavirus pandemic, I could see her through telemedicine without having to be in her physical presence. I was somewhat interested to see if she would make eye contact or face the screen. She was 45 minutes late. When she came on, I informed her that I had a… phone conference in 22 minutes. She told me, "I will not be rushed." I replied with equal bluntness by informing her that she was not respectful of my time and I'd just like to know my results and get off the "call." I found her unwillingness to be rushed interesting considering the many comments on this website that state she spent very little time with patients. It seemed to me like I was doing her a favor by letting her know I wanted the quick and dirty version. Well, something I said made her quite angry. The "call" ended with her telling me she will discharge me as her patient and me telling her I never want to see her again.

waited two hours in waiting room to see her. When she arrived she went to her computer did not greet me then looked at my tests and told me I have RA and take this drug then left. Talk about bedside manner she has none at all. Not professional at all. She needs to get some counseling on how to treat patients. I rate her 0 worst than poor. Never returned and happy to get out of there.

Dr. Tok has been my Dr. for about 5 years. Customer service is non existent and it has taken more than five calls to get a call back to make an appointment. I have even written letters and submitted them via fax in order to get a call back. Patient care is mediocre as she doesn't take the time to listen to her patients. Pharmacy has a very hard time getting a hold of her to get my refills as well. She is a bully with her employees and patients. After numerous calls and faxes I was told by her assistant J. that I can't just see her whenever I want. I have never been a no show and always rescheduled on time. Even if you get scheduled for the first appointment of the day (8 a.m.) she will be an hour late. I will not be looking for another Doctor.

Oh, on more thing ....I gave a one starvas there was no option for none.
