Dr Larka talked me into a surgery that I didn’t need. She fixed nothing but left me with 3 new problems. I curse her everyday because I have to live the rest of my life in pain!!!

I am in a wheelchair can not walk but can use feet to transfer. My right foot has become a drop foot turn to the left so far I do not think it can turn any more. This was causing me a problem with transferring . My left foot is starting also if that happens I will be home bound. My primary Dr Salvato noticed it was getting so bad. She gave me Dr. Larka name and told if she can’t help you I Don’t know who can.(She was so right). I called that day got got appt for next day. Visit took about 45 min with x-rays. She knew right away how to stop the pain with nerve blocking. But wanted to try it before we would do surgery. Had the temp shots that lasted almost a week. Got another appt right away a week later surgery. (She walked me thru the whole thing) She also had a vascular Dr. come in and thank God she did as I had a lot of blockage took care of it right away at the same visit to the hospital. She also did a 2nd surgery at the same visit to improve the tilt… of my foot to assist with my standing. I am now working on the left foot. I can not tell you how she and the staff at Memorial Herman -Heights changed my life. I must say the surgery staff for both Dr were top notch . One important thing for me was if I needed to talk to her and she was not in the office but in surgery. I got a call back after hours . Thank you Dr Larka .

A saw Dr. Larka for treatment if a recalcitrant watt. The wart covered half of the heel of my foot. It was large and painful. I was treated for almost a year by another podiatrist with no success. Dr L conducted a detailed exam and outlined a specific plan to resolve my problem. I did everything she said to do - and it worked.

I had the best experience with Dr. Larka. I went in today after injuring my left foot. I felt like I was the most important person she was seeing today! She spent a lot of time with me finding out about my allergies before Working on my foot. I have a follow up visit set and if I ever have another issue with my feet I will go back. So professional and such a convenient location.

First of all, when she saw me as a new patient the first thing she said was that one of my toes needed to be amputated. She then urged me to run not walk to the nearest hospital where she had privileges. Upset, I did as told and waited nearly all day to be admitted. (This was a Friday afternoon.) She confessed, after having an MRI done that evening, that she was "stashing me" at the hospital to run tests. What tests get done on a weekend in any hospital? As a result of her chicanery, I lost three days from work. And it turns out that toe that needed to be amputated? It was merely a fungal nail. This was diagnosed by the podiatrist I saw after removing myself from her care. Run don't walk away from this podiatrist.
