Dr. Uma Murthy, MD

I was surprised by other reviewers, I find her to be extreemly willing to listen. willing to fill prescriptions unless she hasn't seen me for over three months. she is no longer at the practice where I have been seeing her. I am now trying to find where she is now.

it is easy to get an apointment but when u go for the appointment it takes for rever to see the doctor and she rushes u dosnot do a full evouation.and fill like nothing ever gets accomplished and everythime i turn around they refer me to another doctor and dont even help u find one.the doctor dose the job of anurse or about how much they do at a hospital actully the hospital dose more than they will for u.and send u to another doctor and the doctor always seems clueless as whats going on or how to solve the problems.

This review is mostly regarding the follow-up of Dr. Murthy's staff. I have had several incidents of blood-work performed and trying to get the nurse to respond with results is like pulling teeth. After leaving numerous voice messages asking for results (I've got a specialist that will not treat me until I get the results) I finally had to go to the office to find out about my test results. I'm fortunate to not have needed much medical attention in the past but since I'll be moving soon I'll be transferring my medical records away from this place.

My family has been seen by Dr. Murthy for over 10 years. She always calls back. I have necer had a problem with a refill over the phone. The only time a visit is requested before a refill is if you have not seen her within a certain time span. My husband has several problems, Dr. Murthy takes the time to sort them out, refer us if required to a specialist. The only reason I would change doctors is if I movem and I don't see that happening.

I have seen Dr. Murthy for about 5 years. I have found her to be very helpful and I will continue to see her. as fo phone calls i have yet to meet a Dr that calls you or will change a perscription over the phone. I have found her to be a very good Doctor!

Dr Uma Murthy works about 3-5 hours per day in this office and refuses to refill simple yet necessary prescriptions such as a rescue inhaler unless you meet with her. She does not take into account the fact that people work 9-5 jobs.

Dr. Uma Murthy does not return calls, makes me visit her office just to tell me to increase my dosage of iron tablets when she could have easily done it over the phone (does she realize we miss work to keep doctors appointments?), is in a mighty hurry to run out of the examination room. I am thoroughly dissatisfied!
