If I could give lower than one star, I would I waited about two hours past my appointment time to be seen. I explained that I had spent the weekend in the ER for prolapsed bladder, and I was told that that was impossible because statistics say that can’t happen to a 25 year-old. I put my foot down and said I was not leaving until a pelvic exam was performed after waiting another 35 minutes he got a nurse and a pelvic exam was performed for him to in fact, confirm that my bladder had begun to prolapse. he then admitted to me that it was “no man’s land” that he did not know what to do and for me to go to see an OB/GYN he said that he could stretch my bladder again and said that he had patients coming every three months for bladder surgery and I said what’s the point of me getting a bladder stretching surgery so we can hang out even more ? As well as all of the cases, I have read with the people with intercytial cystitis who have gotten bladder stretching surgery the nerves grow back and… the more the surgery is performed the weaker the pelvic floor becomes, and a person is much more prone to total prolapse. He kept reiterating that he did this all day every day and has seen much worse cases and I said yet again not everyone wants to be the worst case before they’re taken seriously and given help. I was treated as a statistic and as a paycheck and not as a person with needs. I got so discouraged, leaving the office that I began to cry, I feel as if my health is being completely disregarded. This urology center has become less of a place that is to help people and more of a business for profit.

Dr. Karaman was efficient and thorough. He listened to my problems and then explained the exact steps we would take to overcome my situation. I got my prescription & follow up appt. and left completely satisfied.
