Dr. Usma Ahmad, MD

I called three times to make an appointment to have the lump in my breast checked out (even stating I needed to have a lump in my breast looked at). No one ever bothered to return my call. I really liked Dr Ahmad, but am with another practice because of her staff's incompetence. Oh and yes, it turned out to be cancer. Thanks for delaying my treatment office staff.

She sent me for a mammogram after discovering a lump. The radiologist said it was benign but she didn’t advise me to seek a biopsy. A year later I went to another doctor who suggested a biopsy. It was cancer. Six rounds of chemo, double mastectomy and radiation.

I've always dreaded going to the Dr. Most Drs dont take the time to know you. DR AHMAD is different. Her Staff is great and just know she really does care. She doesn't rush thru your visit. She makes sure your ok and understands what your going through. I love her and her staff. I'm almost 54 years old and so happy I was fortunate enough to find her. Thank you Dr Amad and staff for caring.

awesome doctor with a lot of compassion and a personable approach

I have seeing Dr. U. Ahmad about a little less than a year now due to being forced to change from long time PCP due to insurance changes. Went thru a couple PCP and due to maturity leave by NP I was seeing, I had to go to Dr Ahmad. Best thing that has happened to me in a long time since loosing my long time PCP a year ago. She may get a bit being on her appointments but I am ok with that as she gives me the same consideration. That is a GREAT doctor.

I found MD Ahmad to be exceptional. I liked everything about her, However, her staff was the absolute worst. Very rude and refused to return my calls. Would not make a return appointment, and would not send my records to my new doctor even after 2 attempts. As much as I liked the doctor, I will never return here to be insulted and receive such abominable service. I hope that the doctor sees this review and takes action. I would love it if she would contact me.

Dr. Ahmad has been my personal Doctor for almost a year. I have been so pleased with her since my very first appointment. I had been looking for a good doctor for nearly 5 years when I was fortunate enough to hear about Dr. Usma Ahmad. I had nearly given up. Everyone I'd gone to previously was good from a medical perspective, but too clinical and had a lousy way of communicating with me. They simply didn't appear to care about me. I was a number to be processed through their practice to help them meet their revenue quotas. And then I met Dr. Ahmad. She took the time in our first few visits to find out about me and to determine root cause issues for my medical problems. She is brilliant and caring. She answers all my questions, deals with my concerns and speaks to me as an adult human being. Sometimes, I know she is rushed or has had a hard day, but she never makes me feel any less important or treats me with any less care. Dr. Usma Ahmad is the best kept secret in the… Arrowhead medical community.

Dr. Ahmad has been my doctor for almost 2 years. She has been amazing. I have seen many different types of doctors myself and also work in the healthcare industry so I feel I am fairly picky in my providers. She takes her time when in the room and she really cares. The office staff is the same way. From the front office to the back office, just great! My favorite part about Dr. Ahmad is her honesty and how she is just a down-to-earth real human. Thank you Dr. Ahmad for the amazing service!

I was seeing another Dr. for serveral years. I've had headaches for years and about 3 years ago I started having problems with fatigue and muscle weakness. My Dr. at the time kept saying it was my thyroid, and needed more exercise. This went on for 2 years before I finally got tired of her not doing anything for me before I changed to Dr. Ahmad. I had a Dr. appt scheduled within a couple days and after spending 20 minutes telling her my symtoms she made me an appointment with the Arizona Nurological Institute the next day. It turned out I had a 7cm tumor on the front left side of my brain. Within a few weeks I was in surgery having it removed. Unfortunatley it was cancer and I have been going to rehab and taking radiation and chemo treatments. If it hadn't been for Dr. Ahmad taking the time to listen I may not be here right now. Thank you Dr. Ahmad for SAVING MY LIFE.....
