Dr. Uwe Blecker, MD

Got to know Dr Blecker when he was a visiting secialist to Billings, MT. He has done a better job getting our son's health on track than any other provider we have seen yet. As we understand he has left Billings-we will miss him!

Our child has complicated medical problems and he always reassures us and helps with solutions, it really helps!

We love seeing Dr Blecker, even though we have to drive 3 hours!

He was extremely nice and competent

My son has been seeing Dr. Blecker for about six months. My son was referred to him by his pediatrician. His pediatrician had done a pretty full blood work up so Dr. Blecker was able to order more aggressive testing. My son was soon diagnosed and started on a treatment plan. Dr. Blecker has been very good about following up with bloodwork and stool studies to see how the medication is working. Unfortunately, we are moving forward with more intensive testing because even with treatment his bloodwork and stool samples are coming back abnormal and actually getting worse. At every appointment Dr. Blecker has taken his time to give myself and my son complete explanations and time to ask questions. He’s personally called me about lab results, medication issues, and just to check on my son. Every person in his entire office has been exceptional and I couldn’t be more grateful!!!

He came in looked at our son for less than 2 minutes, said he needed to have an endoscopy. We started to ask questions and he kept saying, "if you had come to me first". We have taken our son to a couple of naturopathic doctors and I had sent some results with the nurse that checked us in. He basically threw them at me when he came in the room. Said we had wasted our money and time on everything we had done so far. Once again "if you had come to me first" Said he needed to go back on a non-restrictive diet to do the endoscopy although he has tested intolerant to many foods. "if you had come to me first". Acted like we should've known that any activity in the esophagus at his age was a complete red flag...umm it has been like 4 or 5 times total in 3 years. And last time I checked you have to have a referral to see specialists...just how are we supposed to see you first? We would've said no then too. Blecker...we won't be back, if we do an endoscopy it will be after a second… opinion and you will not be doing it. Sounds like you do a terrible job at that as well as a terrible bedside manner. You are a jerk! Come on Children's Clinic...send this bozo down the road.

He spent MAYBE 3 min with us in the room. Didn’t even ask details on what my daughter has been through or the background story. Gave us no answers what so ever and didn’t help with anything. My normal pediatrician did way more in trying to help my daughter. Do not go to him!

Dr Blekker spent little time with us at our multiple visits. He ordered an upper and lower endoscopy after the first 5 minute appointment. We were told to expect to be in the hospital for 2-3 hours. The procedure took less than 10 minutes. When we had questions after the procedure, about diet and any changes needed he brushed us off, said “nothing right now, don’t worry about it” and walked away. After seeing his colleague for a second opinion after 3 failed visits, we had to return to him because she was out of the country and our son was getting worse. Mind you the 45lbs he had lost in 2 months were not a red flag to this dr. He ordered a few more tests after saying he had run everything they could think of. When that sample came back normal, he had his nurse call to say that we needed to see an endocrinologist because he wasn’t able to help us. The 3rd dr agreed that his initial endoscopy was severely lacking and had another one ordered for our son. He said that all the low hanging… fruit disease wise and testing wise were missed. After an endoscopy and a few other tests with the new Dr our son finally has a diagnosis and an end in sight to his medical problems. No thanks to Dr Blekker. When we confronted he staff about his terrible bedside manner, her reply was “well, he’s foreign so that’s how they treat people over there, they don’t coddle patients like we do here”. Totally unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. The only saving grace to this office is Michelle.
