Dr. Uzma Ali, MD

I was scheduled for an appointment with Dr Ali and the office moved the date up. I was not aware I had another appointment at that time. When the office lady called to see why I was not on time I told her why did you not text me a reminder. She said she called and could not leave a voice message. My voice mail had plenty of room to leave a message. The next day I get a text message asking me for payment. $50.00 for missing the appointment. Funny how they can text to get their money but can't text an appointment reminder.

I had two missed appointments, I understand that I no-showed, it was in 2020 during COVID. 5 years later, I go to schedule an appointment, they schedule it, and I believe everything is fine. They then have me call them to inform me that they will not see me, I can't refute or argue it, and I have to see someone else. I needed an EEG and now I have to deal with the stress of finding a new neurologist who is covered by my insurance. This feels like a very punitive rule to have for patients with epilepsy/seizure disorders who cannot drive or are having significant health issues. I often struggle with forgetfulness and fatigue. I would think after 5 years I could've at least gotten another chance, but now I have to scramble to find another doctor covered by my health insurance. This policy is not compassionate.

Her mannerism is pleasant and professional.
