Dr. Uzma Anis, MD

Doesn’t listen or take time with patients . Normal checkups were less than 2 minutes . 2/11/2022 She forced me into an OBGYN exam which I declined probably 3-4 times ( I have an OB I prefer but she wanted to do it - so weird I’ve never had a professional beg after I’ve said NO 3 times ) , than gave in because she was so extremely demanding and made her assistant beg me a few times as well ( weird ) and she didn’t even document the procedure she had preformed on my discharge papers ( odd) when I called to complain , the procedure wasn’t even in my chart , making me look crazy , she then added to her chart days later saying she forgot . . I was left with lesions internally after she forcefully attempted the procedure with no lubrication nor did she ask if I decline lubricants . She inserted speculum and left room for 10 minutes left it inside of me . Touched handles and other things with her gloves and came back into the room complaining her assistant did not set up her tray properly and… she needed to go get swabs . Attempting to touch me with her first gloved hands she opened and closed doors and garbage cans with I made her change gloves and requested the procedure to be over . 3 seperate times I declined permission to continue with the procedure . which she declined and continued despite my request to be done and get off the table . I should have screamed, but being a sexual abuse survivor. I froze . A man entered the room unannounced and saw me with my legs open on the table like that . She closed the door again with her gloved hand and opened another garbage can with her other gloved hand ( and threw away the swabs she was very loudly yelling for beforehand ) tried to proceed to do an internal exam with her dusty hands I again yelled “no change those gloves” which she thanked me for reminding her : no basic common sense . Decency or knowledge . . She is unsanitary . I went to ER and had a rape kit done they diagnosed me with vaginal lesions . She is still in practice . Do not recommend . Also over medicated and wrongly diagnosed me with ADD ( she’s a general practitioner not a psychologist or psychiatrist) and over medicated me on adderral and when I wanted to wean off she upped my dose and refused . So I cold turkey stopped ( don’t recommend ) but I had no other option . She called me after I called the hospital to complain . She apologized for not changing her gloves . Ridiculous I called all the higher ups and since she did not prevent me from working and I was not permanently disabled I was dismissed as my complaint wasnt valid to their board . Her main excitement to keep me on adderral was “ oh yourse losing weight “ but I had every symptom in the book I was unable to eat felt very ill malnourished . It’s ok she wanted my BMI lower I have spoken to many women that were under her care and she fat shames and chubby shames all women . Dont recommend . I can edit with updates of my discharge papers and the ER paperwork I went immediately after seeing doctor Anis . with the r*** kit and the doctor saying indeed I had “vaginal lesions” consistent with the story I was telling them .

Dr Anis is very nice, respectful, knowledgeable, cares about your health and follow up with your results.I am glad to have such a nice Dr.

Anis Uzma is the worst doctor I have ever seen. She is very rude, impatient, uncollaborative person. She seems very unknowledgeable and not confident of what she is doing, her check up on patients very routine and primitive and it takes only 90 seconds to do everything. She rushes out of office within seconds and not giving you a chance to ask any questions. She gets annoyed If you ask her to fill out a form that you have been asked to provide (from family doctor) takes her long time to do it with lots of mistakes and lack of information. At least I have heard from four families experiencing same issues with Anis. I highly recommend people to keep away from her and not choosing her as a family doctor.

Dr. Uzma will take the time to understand your situation and wiegh your health critically. She will always have your best interest through the medical course. Only negative is follow up. She is easy to get in contact with but you may have to bug her to get follow through on responses. She is easy to talk to and I highly reccomend her for any one looking to further general medical insight often over looked by mediocre doctors.

Although I liked Dr. Anis as a person, I cannot say I was happy with the care I received. Too many mix-ups and errors happened and I had to come back to the office several times to have a simple procedure performed. I also experienced a sense of her not being informed by her office staff as to why I was even there in the first place when I visited another time for a different matter. Her office staff seemed very professional and courteous, but for some reason Dr. Anis always seemed perplexed as to why I was there. There was also a problem with only one person in the entire clinic seeming to know where certain equipment was kept, and when I had my appointment that person was not in, and I had to be rescheduled. Dr. Anis is nice enough, but her practice needs major improvement. I have since found another physician.
