She saw my elderly Mother in Law in he ER in Panama City after she had fallen on the point of her hip. She could not walk or move her left leg. The x-ray report stated that the femoral next had a defect indicative of a fracture of the femoral neck. She discharged my MIL with no mention of the x-ray report without even bringing in and Orthopedist for a 2nd opinion. 5 days later she still can’t walk. Luckily she was able to get into an orthopedist on short notice and and they confirmed the fractured femoral neck and she had surgery the next morning, which the surgeon said should have been done the night she was in the ER. Dr. Sheffield’s negligence almost caused my MIL to need a hip replacement. She should not be seeing peoples loved ones and allow this kind of treatment to continue. I will be speaking to administrators at he hospital to take this to the next level.

She could not care less!!! So frustrating. Per her physicians bill (seperate from the ER bill) apparently 90 seconds of her time is worth $1700. No explaining or speaking to us. No care, concern, or empathy. Seriously. 90 seconds in the room with us before she took off. What a scam artist.

She was working the ER the night I took my husband in. She came in, listened to him breathe, and left. Then she gave him perscriptions without explaining their purpose and sent him home with blood sugar levels way over 400. She doped him up and sent him home! No reason for the problem he was having except that it was not his pancreas and that was it! If you are going to work in a small town learn to be nice to your patients and actually do what you are paid for and help the patient!
