Dr. Valerie Annick Lasry, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Lasry for about 9 years. She was great when I was pregnant with my two children. After that, it seemed like she didn't even care why you were there. She always seems rushed, talks over you, and doesn't listen. She is rude and makes you feel stupid when you see her. If you are looking for a compassionate doctor that will listen, she is NOT one of them.

Went to Carolina OBGYN for a ROUTINE yearly. Was told I would not need to pay a copay for this visit because of that reason. Of course, 2 days later, I get a bill in the mail for $25. I called up there and was told that Dr. Lasry re-coded the visit to where it was no longer routine and I had to pay them $25. The lady in billing that I spoke to was incredibly rude when I told her to cancel all future appointments of mine and she said "Everyone out there is going to do the same!" Also, I strictly requested NO UNNECESSARY tests or procedures and what happened? I got yet ANOTHER bill in the mail for $165 for an ultrasound that she said that I needed. Isn't this why I pay over $400 a month in health insurance? To avoid excess medical bills like this? This is just ridiculous and the VERY reason I no longer trust doctors or hospitals! Dear Doctor, you need to remember the oath that you took while in medical school! You are causing HARM! Stress from financial hardship IS harm!

After reading the reviews, mainly the staff, I will not be going there.

I benefitted greatly from Dr. Lasry's surgical skills and medical knowledge. I appreciated the way she diagnosed my problem, explained available options in a straight-forward manner, and then used her expertise and experience to solve the problem. She is an excellent doctor!

I saw Dr Lasery after seeing two other doctors at the same practice who just couldn't help me, Dr Lasry examined me and immediately gave me a diagnosis and solution to my situation. After months and months of trial and error she was the only one who knew exactly what to do. Wish I started with her first. I won't see any one else but her. She has continues to provide sound medial advise, explaining things thoroughly and with a happy bedside manner. She's aces in my book!

She was great! Explained everything to me, gave me alternatives for treatment, took time to talk to my husband. I eventually had surgery (my choice). She performed the surgery. Ihad absolutely no problems even though I am in poor health. I was a nurse for twenty years and I am very critical of doctors. To me she was an excellent doctor. In fact the best doctor I've seen in Horry County. I highly recomend her.

She was just plain rude! not friendly, or anything! DO NOT GO TO HER! In her team at Carolina OB/GYN theres a woman Stacey Archer a midwife she is the greatest!

Dr. Lasry did not offer alternatives to surgery. She was not focused and was rushed during my follow up visit. My notes were not correct in my hiatory. She did not want to try alternative methods, but just wanted to go right into surgery as a solution to my problem. It appeared that making the most money in surgery was her primary aim, not me the patient or trying other alternatives. This is a business and the goal is to make the most money asap. Very unethical and very obvious. I would not send anyone to her, it is unprofessional and the focus is monetary.
