Dr. Valerie C Mechanik, MD

I avoid the gyno at all costs but Dr. Mechanik makes going in for my annual hassle free. I never have trouble getting an appointment and I am in and out of the office quickly. She knows her stuff and she makes going to the gyno a breeze.

Let's just say, I thought I was getting a pap smear done but she did a culture instead. I wasn't very pleased that she didn't tell me that I was getting a culture done. Mind you, I am 40 years old. I always thought I was getting a Pap done, and never did.

Dr. Valerie Mechanik continutes to provide top level care for women. I trusted her with birth decisions and now trust her with my post-menopausal care. She has always and continues to be abreast of the newest medical research in her speciality and provides that information as part of her decision-making and recommendations. She spends time in consultation with me and always answers my questions completely and without rushing. In addition, her office and staff are delightful!

Dr. Mechanik is very thorough with her exam and will meet with you in her office on the first visit before the exam to discuss your health. Most doctors now a days, do not take the time anymore. I felt very comfortable and felt like a patient instead of a number. Thank you!

My visit and expirence afterwards have been a complete nightmare! I will not return! My review is too long to post here, but my advice is to stay clear of this office!

Dr. Mechanik has been my obgyn for close to 20 years. She is professional, yet friendly. Office visits are easy to schedule, prompt yet there is time if I have questions. My only reserve is that when a lump appeared I was directed elsewhere for care. During that trying time I would have liked to be with familar faces. Thankfully it was a false alarm.

She is too rushed and obviously inconvenienced by questions.
