Van-Hong Nguyen, MD

Dr. Nguyen is a physicians of the old-school. She pays attention, follows up, makes her patients responsible for themselves. I have several doctors at a time when medical practice is distributed across organs and functions. She is easily first among equals. All are competent, but she alone looks past her specialty to take responsibility for the patient, at large: myself.

I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Nguyen to anyone who is seeking an expert cardiologist. She is extremely thorough. Calmly asked me questions regarding my symptoms and carefully explained, in layman's language, the treatment that would be undertaken. I was comforted that she personally administered my tests and expeditiously gave me the results. Most of all, my health is much improved. Kudos to her staff. They truly are a reflection of Dr. Nguyen - polite and expeditious. Need a great clinician? Make an appointment to see Dr. Nguyen!!

Dr. Nguyen is a brilliant physician and a very warm human being. Everything about your experience combines attentive care with a comforting calm. The follow-through is exceptional.

She is calm in her approach, patient, explained her diagnosis and why the treatment she recommends would improve my health - it is a partnership. She is thorough and good but office is the worst.

Dr. Nguyen, is a wonderful cardigoist, she is on target with all her diagnosis. Her concerns and treatment of heart problems are always for the best outcomes of the patient. Highly recommend

PROMISES TO CALL WITH RESULTS, BUT DOESN'T. LEAVES ME VERY CONCERNED. PROMOTES HER 'PAPERLESS OFFICE' SO WILL NOT WRITE A PRESCRIPTION BUT SAYS THE DRUGGIST WILL BE CALLED. NO CALL WENT TO DRUGGIST.THE STAFF ASSISTANTS WERE VERY RUDE BOTH TIMES THAT I WAS THERE. RESULT - RUN DON'T BJUST WALK AWAY FROM HER.

I spent a few years with this cardiologist and found her very patronizing, rude and without any compassion what so ever. Definitely has state of the art diagnostic tools in house and I liked the staff always nice and efficient. The other associate in the office Dr. Ghodsi (sp) much better bedside manners but it was best to move along to another Doctor rather than having to deal with in any way shape or form with Dr. Nguyen. A good education and no manners bad combo.

Dr. Nguyen is very thorough, asks the right questions and spends plenty of time answering my questions. I appreciate that she tells me what I need to hear rather than what I may want to hear. Very professional. Office staff is also far better than most in NYC.
