Dr. Vance Broach, MD

Dr. Broach is a kind and caring dr. who actually listens to you. I was hesitant to use a male gynecological surgeon, but he put me at ease and did an incredible job on what I needed. Not only that but he coordinated with my breast surgeon so that I'd only have to go through 1 round of anesthesia. His office staff is equally as kind and thorough.

I was diagnosed with Stage 3C low grade serous ovarian cancer in 2018 at the age of 36. I saw 2 other doctors and when I met Dr. Broach I knew he was the one who was going to be my surgeon. I was able to get an appointment within a week and he scheduled my surgery within 2 weeks. He is an amazing surgeon with amazing bedside manner. He came to visit me in recovery on a Sunday he wasn’t working! I don’t want to go into too much detail about my surgery but one thing I was really concerned about was needing an ileostomy bag. I was fitted for one prior to surgery as there was a high chance I would need one. He knew how much I hated the idea of having it, even though it would have been temporary. Long story short I didn’t wake up from surgery with it and that’s because he stressed how important it was to his assistants. I can’t say enough about him. He is caring, informative, always available for questions and concerns, accommodating and so his staff. Even though what I went… through was challenging both mentally and physically, I have met some pretty amazing people along the way and wouldn’t want to go through it with any other team.

I had my initial consultation with Dr. Broach on Aug 28th 2019. Following our consultation, he immediately gave me my surgery date for the very next week on Sept. 6th. He also arranged all my pre-surgery appointments for the very same day as my consultation. I am truly blessed that I got this amazing doctor. He is so kind, caring & compassionate with a very thorough explanation of what was going on with me. When I told him that I was supposed to run the NYC Marathon this year, he told me that he would meet me in the starting corrals in 2020. Anyone lucky enough to have Dr. Broach is truly blessed. A year ago on Feb 14th my mother in law was diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian Cancer, her body was drowning in her own fluid, Dr. Broach was able to get her an appointment within a week, a miracle by the grace of god, and the minute he saw her he admitted her with surgery scheduled the following day! She is now Cancer free a year later and we owe it all to this amazing surgeon!
