Dr. Vandana R Karri, MD

Find another oncologist. She contradicts what she says from one meeting to the next. She does not back up her patient, Another doctor lied and said I refused to have a biopsy done. That was a bold face lie. She did not bring me together, face to face with the lying doctor to get to the truth. She does not explain things very well. Totally loses sight that a patient may have chemo brain after chemo treatments..."Don't you remember that?" Not very considerate of what patient is going through. If you have needs out of the ordinary (Petscan with anesthesia), "you're a problem child. GO TO UVA Hospital in Charlottesville !!

I have seen Dr. Karri several times. She is very professional and explains things in an understandable manner. She clarifies any questions and explains if you do not. There is no language barrier in my opinion.

Dr. Karri is very professional. My treatment was carefully and correctly administered. She always answers my questions completely. I noticed several ratings were low on "bedside manner". There was no bedside treatment and I have to wonder if that question went unanswered by others because of that-which gave an incorrect score.

Dr.Karri spent a good amount of time with me, She was thorough. Answered all my questions. Spelled out a logical diagnostic plan. I was very satisfied with her excellent care. Her language was completely clear and in no way a problem.

She does not speak English very well. It is very difficult to understand her. If you are seeing a hematologist you need to understand EXACTLY what they are saying.
