Dr. Vedant Vaksha, MD

My mom was seen by doctor Vaksha after she broke her arm. She went to St Charles after her fall & they put her in a soft cast & told her to go find a doctor to set her arm. Dr. Vaksha was the only orthopedic surgeon that was open on the weekend. He got her in that day on a Saturday. He set her arm for her & was such a sweetheart. He was so gentle & kind. I highly recommend him & his staff.

Lack of communication between doctor and patient/family. A family member is in rehab- brought to Dr. Vaksha's office for x-rays and exam. NO x-rays were available at this site on this day we were told. It's an orthopedist's office! Family member taken elsewhere for x-rays. It has been a week and three phone calls. We have not heard back from the doctor with the results. Unacceptable!

My son in-law went to this man because they told him they took his insurance. He was told that he needs surgery so they put in the claim to his insurance co. & it was denied. This doctors office told my son in-law to go to the ER on Weds. because the doctor will be there & he will get his surgery. They told him that he wouldn't have to pay for anything. I have health issues & have had enough surgeries & COMMON SENSE to know that this sounded sketchy. I called the hospital that they told him to go to & explained the situation. I was advised not to do it. Myself & my son in-law also called his insurance co. & again explained the situation. Once again we were advised not to do it because he will be liable for all the bills. Not to mention that we were told that the claim was denied because the claim was submitted as out-of-network & to our surprise this man does not except his insurance. They lied. They called him & told him to go to the ER tonight instead WHAT? NO WAY! THIS IS CRAZY!
