Dr. Veena S Gandhi, MD

What I like about dr. Gandhi is that she knows her stuff right down to her labs she's a great Doctor Who has many years of practice and she knows what she sees and feels she's just that good I've been seen her since a teenager I'm now 50 plus and she still as good as she was then now

This Dr has had 2 bad results come back for me and has yet to call me the last one was 2 years ago I've been getting sicker and i can't get a call back nor,my records

Dr. Gandhi is a sweet woman: she was easy to talk to, and she seemed to know some of her patients well. BUT- this office was extremely outdated and felt dirty, her staff gave me issues with my insurance card (although I was told before my appointment they accepted my insurance-they gave me issues with it). She was also rough handed, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to call and cancel and appointment; this office is so outdated when I called-numerous times, I was connected to their faxing machine (no voicemails). They also charge if you miss an appointment, which would be fair if they were easier to reach to cancel.

I really dislike this doctor. I have been to Dr. Gandhi couple of times and I must say I have never seen such an awful, unprofessional, zero knowledge Doctor and I had a worst experiencee with her. I understood in my 2nd visit itself that I would never visit her again in my life. Without any knowledge on my case completely and not even conducting any primary tests, she took the decision of my life. I think the good reviews which I am seeing about her are definetly given by her staff. I had to face so hard situations because of her one stupid suggestion which I could never would have even imagined in my life for which I could never forgive her. She mentioned that she is in her retirement stage, I think it would be great if she takes her retirement ASAP instead of bothering her patient with her hasty suggestions and decisions. I won't recommend this doctor to anyone!!

This was my first gynecologist appointment ever so I was nervous but I know that because I am now sexually active I need to think about taking care of my body. My Background (I'm willing to be open about this): I am 18+, I've had 3 sexual partners... which one is currently my boyfriend of some years now, since dating him I do not use a condom or any birth control. We are honest and in a very good relationship (no affairs). I found Dr. Gandhi on ZocDoc and all her reviews there are excellent 5 stars so I decided to give her a try. The secretary was nice to me. The reason I came in was for specifically Bacterial Vaginosis which is common from what my primary physician told me but he preferred I went to a gynecologist. My boyfriend and I waited for awhile, about 20mins after my appointment time and then the assistant took me back. She was very nice! She assured me it was okay and talked me through everything. After getting my medical history out of the way, it was time for my exam. Dr.… Gandhi came in and the first thing she ask was "Are you happy with condoms?" which I understood why but I felt uneasy from then on. No introduction or anything. She was a little judgemental of me and didn't let me explain things like my late period times nor did she tell me what was going on down there as she examined me which really hurt. I didn't have time to say it did but she already stuck something up there and enlarge it. She didn't want to hear my opinions and everything felt rushed. Dr. Gandhi also didn't prescribe me anything until I mentioned to her about my infection. All she did was say yes it B.V and here take this medication for _ times. She is knowledgeable but I will not be returning to her. If anyone recommends a gynecologist in the Camden County area please let me know.

I have been patient of Dr. Gandhi for a few years now. Recently, I found out that I was pregnant. I saw the doctor for two visits to get initial bloodwork and an initial ultrasound with SJRA. My bloodwork came back along with my ultrasound report and there were a few concerning results. SJRA recommended that I go back in 4 weeks to get another ultrasound. The doctor however strongly recommended that I terminate my pregnancy immediately without a second opinion or follow up ultrasound. This was very distressing and I was quite upset as this is my first pregnancy. She told me to go home and make my husband understand that we should terminate. Fortunately, I have a physician in my family that I was able to show the reports to and he indicated that while my bloodwork was not textbook, it was still well within the normal range of a 7 week pregnancy. I scheduled an appointment with a neonatologist for later that week and had 3 different doctors and techs look at my reports and do… several different types of ultrasound and all three could find no indication of any fetal abnormalities as indicated by Dr. Gandhi's report and recommendation for an abortion. I have now moved onto a new doctor and will not longer see Dr. Gandhi, as I feel she made a terrible mistake and diagnosis, that had I listened to her, could have resulted in me terminating a completely normal pregnancy. She is too quick to make such rash decisions and very against second opinions. I do not recommend this women for any type of gynecological health care, as I feel she is very dated and should probably retire. Her bedside manner and compassion were terrible and I left her office completely overwhelmed and stressed. The neonatoligist I saw was extremely upset that a doctor would make such a diagnosis so early and allow her pregnant patient to remain stressed and uneasy. I also had a cold during the visit an asked if there were any medications I was able to take, she told me at this point, it really doesn't matter what I take because I need to end my pregnancy. I am so glad I did not listen to her advice and got a second opinion. What worries me most is that there may be other women that may be in a similar situations in which this doctor has recommended termination of pregnancy, when really there is nothing wrong. I will never go back to her and will continue to advocate against her because of her terrible mistake. Every doctor that I have told this story to believe this women should not be practicing. Her office is also quite dirty and she store her cervical clamps in old pickle jars filled with what I can only hope is some type of disinfectant, there are out dated bottles of white vinegar and medical instruments all of the place exposed to the air. I just really feel that sanitary conditions and codes are not being met at this office, which is quick scary in the advent of superbugs and diseases that can be spread through contaminated medical equipment. I saw no evidence of any sterilization machines in any of her examine rooms and I have been to both offices. Do not go to this women if you value your privacy and health, as other have said you can hear conversations between the walls with other patients.

very fast wait time. nice small, personal practice. not a big , rude clinic where you see someone different every time

I am convinced her staff are the people writing these good reviews. I am 22 years old and every time I see Dr. Gandhi she is rude and judgmental. She asks me the same questions about my life every time I visit (probably more often than others because of issues) but it's like she doesn't even listen or remember who I am. I have to lie and tell her I have a boyfriend just so I don't hear the lecture that I should have a husband if I chose to have sex. Call me crazy but it just seems very unprofessional to me. She disregards patient pain during all procedures. I can hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the next room while I wait. The staff for the most part is ok, though I can't ever understand a word they say over the phone if they even answer it. My average wait time has always been 40 minutes. And Gandhi is always asking me to tell all of my friends to come to her practice. I'm sorry but I would never recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant experience.
