On second thoughts, and continuing on my past review, I think the best nephrologist there ever was is someone by the name of Dr Guruswamy Ramamurthy. His office hours are so good. His staff is the best I have ever seen. He knows pretty much the most I have ever seen any physician know, even about stuff beyond his specialty. He is located across from Manatee hospital. He is internatioanally recognized expert and seen on TV. He is HANDSOME to boot. I would go to him, and him only for everything. I encourage even out of state patients and international patients who need a second opinion to come in and see him and him ONLY! WOW!! Two thumbs up!!!

My wife has advance kidney disease and our first impression of Dr. Chauhan was very good. However, when my wife was severely ill in the hospital, I was very disappointed by his lack of expertise in caring for my very sick wife. It was almost as if he was overwhelmed. Once she got better, we made a decision to change docs. She needs someone with more experience....

I would definitely recommend Dr.Chauhan to my family and friends. Though I had to wait for around 12-15 minutes, Dr.Chauhan made sure that I still got all the time that I needed and infact went out of his way to make up for the delay. He listened to me patiently and gave me some very vital information about my condition that my physician in Ohio had never even metioned.

A personable kidney doc; took his time to explain to me what was going on with my kidneys. Told me I could give him a call "anytime". Not difficult on the eyes either!
