Dr. Venkatesh Sasthakonar Esackimuthu, MD

I am currently in the hospital with a cyst on my spleen. This doctor had just left my room about an hour ago LAUGHING at me for asking questions..he came in explaining he wants to leave the cyst on my spleen and I was just asking questions about removing it and he turned to his coworker and started to laugh saying he has no other way of explaining it to me. I dont care how many questions a patient has or if you think they are not intelligent you DO NOT LAUGH when they ask you a question.he said he was not laughing at me but because he had explained it to me, that I'm not getting it and he has no other way to explain it. Making he was laughing at himself. Even so, so because you are unable to communicate with your patient you think that is funny? There was nothing funny about the situation. I asked the risk factor of removing it and he turned to his coworker and they both laughed. So you are laughing at the patient and even if he claims "he was laughing at himself" how is that funny he… is unable to make his patient understand their decision. This is completely disrespectful and he clearly has no bedside manner.

how do i get an appt with this doctor?? ive called the hospital and they said he is not in the doctor directory. can someone leave me the direct number to his office.

I found Dr. Esackimuthu to be a very considerate and competent surgeon. I want to thank the Dr. for making my life normal again and he even had a good sense of humor. All better.
