Dr. Vernon Ray Walling, MD

Can’t care less for patients even when paged in a life-threatening emergency. 48 hrs without responding when he’s the only one who can fix his own prescription errors (forgot to write the strength needed for the drugstore to fill the prescription) is unacceptable, not to say extremely unprofessional.

Its rare to find a Psychiatrist who makes a client feel cared for and listens. I see Dr. Walking for medication check ups. He is prompt and I don't feel rushed. I find he puts me at ease and I trust him.

Ive had Dr. Walling as my psychiatrist for about 3 years now and he is the only and first doctor that has NOT misdiagnosed me and he actually is very careful with new perscriptions due to my drug addition history and my psychological history (clinical depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizo, insomnia). He makes sure that I dont take any medications that will have side effects that can make me worse and he considers everything in terms of safety. Wouldnt get a new doctor.

He does not care about his patients and I have heard his staff talking about patients

We have seen Dr. Walling twice for my son about 14 ago. Some urgent issues have occurred recently so we wanted to schedule an appointment with Dr. Walling to try and address the issues. Three weeks and three phone calls later the office staff were so rude and told me that they left a message with Dr. Walling and it is up to him to get back with them to decide whether or not he would see my son since it had been awhile. Glad business is so good for him that a return phone call isn't necessary for someone who needs help.

Dr.walling quickly understood what my son was up against and helped us get a handle on the medication: actually reducing the maintenance of medications by stopping some of the perscriptions a different doctor prescribed.The wait time to get an initial appointment was pretty standard, the office staff is efficient.I am very happy with his knowledge and his approach to care.
