Dr. Veronica Gillispie, MD

Absolutely horrendous. Dr. Gillespie was the on call Obstetrician at Ochsner Kenner during my labor. I was taken to a room around 9:30 am , and Dr. Gillespie didn’t come by to “check on” me until that evening around 4:30pm. She didn’t examine me, she simply stood at the left side of my bed and introduced herself. I didn’t see her until 2:00 am the following morning, despite knowing that I had meconium in my water sac and that it was a probability that my son could aspirate the meconium. This was also after pushing for over an hour and 45 min, when she came in and finally checked me, and told me that I needed an emergency cesarian because my baby was not in position. During the emergency surgery, my son in fact did aspirate meconium and was rushed to the NICU directly from the operating room and stayed there for 6 days. He was intubated, fed through his umbilical cord, and oxygen levels were at life threatening levels.

Dr. Gillispie has been my ob/gyn for about 3 years now. At each visit she takes her time to listen to my concerns attentively and answers all of my questions with compassion and understanding. She always makes me feel like she cares and shows a great deal of professionalism and knowledge in obstetrics. I’m so thankful to have her as my doctor and look forward to her delivering my twins as a first time mom!

The front desk personnel all greeted me as I entered the office. They explained every document to me and told me my wait time. Dr. Gillispie was very professional and kind. She explained everything very thoroughly to me. She gave me options and honestly listened to my concerns. Glad I went to this appointment.

A wonderful, approachable, helpful obgyn. Staff are warm, respond to every question. Wonderful personality.

She and her entire staff were absolutely wonderful!

Great and super sweet doctor. I can't thank her enough for removing my 10 cm uterine fibroid by using Laparoscopy. Excellent surgery.

Dr. Gillispie delivered my first son and was an absolutely amazing and competent doctor. I felt like we had a great personal and professional relationship and I was very confident in her ability to care for me during my pregnancy. She was very responsive before and during delivery and even visited my son and I in the hospital after delivery. If we still lived in NOLA, I wouldn't think twice about having her deliver our second baby, due in May.
