Dr. Veronica Mardo, MD

I felt like the appointment was extremely rushed. She seemed like she did not care about my concerns or questions and wanted to perform a procedure I do not agree on. She just left me in the room without saying goodbye. I truly felt disrespected.

Paid more attention to her shoes and her computer than to the patient. Would not recommend her to anyone.

Went for a prescription renewal and she ignored all of my concerns and questions. Rude. Condescending and just horrible

Dr. Mardo, her P.A Jeniffer and the office staff are not business professionals. Especially the PA perscribing wrong meds making me end up in a walk-in clinic over the wkend.

Cold and condescending; absolutely no bed side manner. Diagnosed my husbands wrist pain as psoriatic arthritis when he never even had psoriasis.

In my weeks of searching for a new PCP, I chose Dr. Mardo. Granted as a new patient, I have only seen her once but my dealings with her staff have been very frustrating. Upon arrival to my last appointment, I was informed that they were attempting to reach me to inform me that my appointment had to be rescheduled because the Doctor has an emergency. The only number they attempted to reach me was my home number, which I did not answer, as I was at work. I left early for this appointment, picked up my daughter early for school in order to arrive on time. When i asked why they didnt try calling my mobile, office or emergency number they said they did not have any other number on file. However, I recall the forms i initially filled out asked me for additional contact numbers. In addition, I had to have a second mammogram screening. The imaging center said they would fax over the results to Dr. Mardo and i should expect a call with the results in three days. Here i am 7 days later… waiting for a call after numerous calls to Dr. Mardo asking to have someone call me. Their excuse was that the imaging center had not faxed over the results, which was not true. According to the imaging center, they were sent over the same day of my screening. My last call to the office, they had me wait to speak to the PA who was on the other line. They attempted to reach her twice and then the receptionist told me that she could only allow me to hold for a certain period of time and that I would have to call back. Not a place to go if you want efficient care.

She is an intelligent caring professional who follows up with me regarding my hypertension .

I have never done a review before today, but I feel it is important to view my frustration and concern. Please explain to me why a doctor's office would call you after your blood work results come back and say they need to discuss the results, leaving you days of worry, only to find out when you pay your co-pay to see the doctor to discuss results, that the results were normal/fine! In my opinion, this is total fraud, billing an insurance company for this--not to say unfair practice of this doctor! She should be totally ashamed!!! This is why our health insurance rates are so high. I don't think she will be utilized again.

She is very friendly but does not seem to read the chart prior or at least become some what familiar with her patients prior to entering. She asked me why do you need so many specialist, if she had looked at my new patient forms she would have seen a have a very rare medical disease. My labs came in months ago and I am still waiting on a response from her as my cholesterol levels are close to 300 and absolutely no contact from at all. I even called inquiring and I was told my labs were all normal. So I remarked; "really? would you like to look at my cholesterol levels again and rethink your answer?". The medical assistant look and said oh yes we will have the Dr call you back right away. That was three months ago. So I mentioned it to the cardiologists assistant and same response. Never heard back from any of them and I have three times asking about their plan of action. Dr. Mardo had sent me to meet with specialist and then have a follow up appointment. When I came in for my… follow up appointment she asked so why are you here? Well to discuss the results of my appts and test that you ordered, discuss the results, I don't know maybe just to have a cup of tea, I mean really people, READ PT CHARTS PRIOR TO ENTERING ROOM, KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOUR PATIENT PRIOR TO OPENING YOUR MOUTH. Florida Medical Clinic seems to be more concerned with how many patients they can get in and out than a Doctors office concerned with treating the patient. Dr. Mardo needs to learn to treat her patients in a proactive manner and read their charts prior to speaking with patients and becoming at the very least familiar with their medical conditions.
