Dr. Vickram Singh Reehal, MD

I have 40 years of RA and fibromyalgia and other health issues and have been to many rheumatologists over those years. Dr. Reehal is one of the best. A good listener (which is vital) and a wonderful practitioner.

He is very busy, so I had to wait a bit to se him, but overall very professional and knowledgeable

I have had 3 other Rheumatologists. I am a bit needy and ask a lot of questions. Dr. Reehal is very caring, compassionate, and he works to find the best solution to help me. He also calls for follow-up when needed and explains each procedure step-by-step or the medications in great detail. Is very patient with my reduntant questions and has shown to be very knowledgeable in his field. I have never had another doctor as compassionate and helpful as Dr. Reehal.

I've had several appointments with Dr Reehal over the past several months. He listens to my symptoms, authorizes referrals to other specialists when necessary and offers optional treatments. I am very pleased and would recommend him highly.

Dr. Reehal impressed me with his professionalism, warmth, down-to-earth everyday language with no medical jargon. Cares about the patient and provides written summaries of each appointment meeting for patient to take home. How many other doctors take the time to do that? He follows up with phone calls to check on patient progress. He does what we'd expect all doctors to do.

I was referred to Dr. Reehal two weeks ago after manifesting symptoms that my GP and 3 ER doctors could not identify. Based on lab test results, my GP rushed me into Dr. Reehal to find out what was going on. By the time I got to his office, he had received my labs, reviewed them AND my entire medical history, AND was pretty certain he knew what my condition was. Without messing around, he began aggressive treatment and a long diagnositic process (which is still going on). I say I feel lucky because I have read horror stories about doctors not knowing enough about this disease to treat appropriately or even recognize symptoms in many cases (it is very rare) and by the time treatment is started (months later, sometimes longer), the patient is in very, very bad shape. Within 1 week of seeing Dr. Reehal, I had my kidneys checked (twice), multiple blood tests, CT Scans of my head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis and I am currently scheduled for more exams. He did not waste anytime. Dr.… Reehal calls me personally to reveal and discuss test findings. It's been a difficult and frightening couple of weeks and Dr. Reehal steps out of Dr. mode and provides comfort and reassurance. He even recommended counseling to help me through. Most Dr.'s only care about the clinical and not the patient's mental and emotional well-being.From what I have read, most physician's don't deal with my condition in the entire course of their career. Dr. Reehal, on the other hand, has and seems to be extremely knowledgeable and comfortable handling my case. Like I said....I was lucky.
