Dr. Victor Hugo Carabba, MD

Had an issue where I was running late. I called to give them a heads up and they gave me no indication of any issue. When I arrived they turned me away for being 30 minutes late (I was late due to car issues that surprised me). I wasn't happy with this but one of the admins quickly put the blame on me and wouldn't recognize their fault in communicating with me on the phone earlier. So I wasted my time with that and rescheduled for next week. Two days before the appointment, the same admin calls to request to move my appointment back 30 minutes. I refused citing their lack of flexibility for me. She continued to be rude to me on this even stating I wasn't a real customer (not deserving of such treatment) because I have insurance. I canceled the appointment and changed practices. As far as the doctor, I never met him and only worked with the RN's (I believe I had Emily) and she was top notch. I would recommend her any day but too bad you have to go through this admin team… to get to her.

Based on my personal opinion on my experience with Dr. Victor Carabba I moved to Massachusetts from out of state. My new insurance company referred me to Dr. Victor Carabba. I contacted his office by phone to inquire into becoming a new patient. I was told that Dr. Carabba does not make appointments for new patients until he receives the medical records from the patient’s former doctor. I advised Dr. Carabba’s office of an existing, pre-diagnosed ongoing serious medical condition and voiced my concern over getting the records to them as quick as possible. Dr Carabba’s office advised I come into their office to sign release forms that they could directly fax to both my prior doctors, as I had a specialist for my medical condition. I came in that day and signed release forms. After a month of not hearing anything from Dr. Carabba’s I called to follow up and was advised that I needed to call and follow up with my prior doctors which I did. The first dr. said they never received a request… from Dr. Carabba. The second, a world renowned specialist at the U of M hospital advised me they had gotten the request but it was improperly done and that Dr. Carabba’s office was notified and no further request had been received. I called back Dr. Carabba’s office and advised them of what I had been told. Then I made the statement “Somebody is sitting on their butt somewhere with these records”. I wasn’t even specific about whom I was even implying and this receptionist gets mad and claimed I used profanity by using the word “butt”. Although this entire process I have been patient and polite when speaking with Dr. Carabba’s office. I believe this was done so I would just look for another doctor so they didn’t have to deal with the fact they completely dropped the ball and someone’s negligence would not be discovered if they had to follow up. Meanwhile, with a serious medical condition Dr. Carabba’s office has just left me hanging for over a month. They screwed up and don’t want to deal with it, totally unconcerned or unsympathetic to their patients care and welfare or I even have to question if they discriminate based on the medical condition of the patient. In my opinion from my personal experience, this office is unprofessional, negligent, and seriously jeopardizes the safety and welfare of people’s health and lives.

Dr. Carabba is great! Only doctor's office I've ever been too where the doctor is not late. Kim Graham, PA, is a wonderful [almost doctor]. She knows her stuff, and she really cares.

Excellent diagnostician, thoughtful problem-solver, very nice man. Great doc.

Dr. Carabba is a very caring physician who listens carefully and is very knowledgable. At first, he doesn't look at you directly but by the second visit he is warmed up, and very easy to talk to. He spends as much time as needed, answers all questions and is excellent at follow-up. I am very particular about the doctors I use and I think he is really excellent. My husband, a physician himself, also finds him to be excellent.

I recommend Dr. Carabba highly. He is thorough, listens and answers questions, explains everything, hands off to experts when experts are called for, and surprised the heck out of me by calling me himself with "scary test" results within moments of his receipt from the testing facility. I trust him and his staff absolutely.

He does not rush, takes his time and will freely answer all my questions. Very easy to get along with and will listen to my opinions
