I received a very serious foot and Ankle injury volunteering at a police training with Allen and McKinney Police at the Allen Training center. I saw Dr. Schechter after recommendations from employees at Medical Center Plano Hospital. My first impression was very positive, Dr. Schechter was thorough and meticulously examined and manipulated my foot. The physical exam was extensive and he was extremely focused, almost like he was in touch with every bone and ligament in my foot. I remember thinking to myself this guy really knows what he's doing. He is very professional and has a calming effect on you with his demeanor. To top it off I have never felt he was in a rush and took the time to properly diagnose and treat me on every visit. After ordering an MRI, Dr. Schechter said there is a lot going on here, I was in a lot of pain, my foot was swollen it was warm, there were stress fractures, ligament and tendon damage. I was told that surgery would be required and even though I… was facing a lot of repair, I was totally comfortable with his recommendations and had complete confidence. The office staff are very friendly and welcome you like an old friend. Because of the circumstances surrounding the Injury, there was additional paperwork and coordination necessary that Peggy, was more than happy to accommodate. She coordinated the hospital, insurance, other Dr's, test, medical devices, and surgeries. Follow up has been like clockwork and I feel after all Dr. Schechter and his staffs work, I'll be able to walk normally again. Thank you Dr Schechter, I know it was a tough case, but you made it happen. You set the standard for Doctors in my book, I will be referring you to everyone I hear about with foot issues, as I know the kind of care they'll receive will be second to none.

Dr Schecter is a fabulous dr! Great bedside manner! Puts you right at ease with his experience & calm demeanor. He operated on both of my feet & resolved painful problems & will do at least one more foot surgery on me. Don't live in pain! Get your feet fixed by Dr Schecter. You'll be so glad you did!

I came to Dr Schechter for a surgery of my left foot, a complex procedure including bunion and hammer toes. After a successful right foot surgery with a different surgeon who moved out of state, I had very high expectations. Dr Schechter did not only meet, but exceeded my expectations. He applied most updated surgical techniques and demonstrated his expertise on wound healing. He treated me so carefully during every post-op session. Inflammation was minimal and my second foot recovered faster than my first one. Additionally, his office team made a great job scheduling the surgery, and treated me very friendly all the time.
