Dr. Victor Sukhovitsky called me to discuss the condition of my sister who was just recently discharged from the ICU after a long and difficult battle against COVID-19. Dr. Sukhovitsky and his staff called me every day to update me about my sister's progress as well as the "bumps in the road" as he described it, which they faced along the way. I have to say this has been the most challenging month of my life having my loved one in the ICU, not being able to see them, and relying on limited information from secretaries whenever I call in. The day Dr. Sukhovitsky assumed care over my family member, I became a part of the team as my sister's decision maker and was incorporated into a daily conversation about the goals of care and steps to recovery. I felt so much better once this communication began to happen and consider my family so fortunate that Dr. Sukhovitsky was a part of her care.

He was highly competent, knowledgable, and had the best bedside manner. Dr. Victor Sukhovitsky took care of me after I had a procedure done and after the experience, I will happily recommend him and Nassau University Medical Center to everyone I know who is ever in need of surgery. I have never in my 6 decades on this planet had a doctor who was able to relate to me, explain medical information, take as much time as needed, and just show compassione as well as Dr. Sukhovitsky. Keep up the great work!
