Dr. Vidya Sagar Kora, MD

In death this man has taken over a week so far in getting a death certificate out. The family cannot go ahead with the creamation until he gets off his duff. Shame on this man who cares more about getting elected than his pratice.

i met this dr.thru my mother.he took care of her for years,and she loved him not only as her dr.,but like a son.he cared about her physical health as well as her mental health.when she died he was at the hospital with in minutes to be with her family.consoling us ,praying r her ahd us,offering help in any way he could.he also was my husband's dr.who is disabled,and has insurance,and i don't.i could not afford to go to a dr.,and when i started having health problems specifally with a very bad swollen thyroid that could have been cancerous he noticed it when i was in the office with my husband.you see i take care of my husband,i was talking to him about ny husband,and i was sitting in the chair while my husband was sitting on the exam table all of a sudden in mid sentence he slid over to me while sitting on the stool,and started examing my neck.he started asking me questions about it,and if i had seen anyone about it.i was so stun that all i said was yes,and the only dr.that i had seen… was in the er,and all they would say was that i needed to get it checked out.i kept telling them that i did not have the mony to see a dr.,and a specialist was completly out of the question.my neck became so swollen that it pushed my windpipe over sideways,and the er drs.told me that it could possibly be a matter of life or death.i thought about my mother and the things she said about dr. kora how he cared about the poor so my huusband,and i took a chance,and went and talk to him.he asked me how much could i afford to pay.i said 15,or 20 dollers a month.he told me to come and see him that monday morning.he first had me take a test where a needle was stuck in my thyroid to see if their were any cancer cells there,as their was a 90% chance tht it could be cancer. he arranged for this test to be did at our area hospital,and i can only imagine what that test cost,but i never recieved a bill.the test came back negative,but they did not get enough cells out to be sure.so he then arrange for me to go to a specialist dr. rosaveir .,and i know he had to be quite exspensive,and especially since i had to rush to the hospital because i swallowd or al most swallowed my larnyx in my sleep.i woke up coughing, and could'nt breath and i thought it was some type of tissue from the thyroid that was trying to come out.i thought i was going to diei was very scared. this happened about3 o'clock p.m as i was on the cp allnight and did not go to bed untill about 9 that morning. they called dr.kora he called the specialist and some kind of way he got the specialist to come to the er to see me,then to my surprize he walked in the er about 15 minutes later.he said to the other dr. thank you for coming to see her.i was put in the hospital that night,and had tests did for about 3 days.one thing they found i was that when i swallow they sad i had somthing called pooling.the fluid did'nt go straight down itset i guest for afaction of a second then it went down. they were'nt worried about that i guest,but i was to come back in two weeks for thyroid surgery.the surgery was suppose to take about 4 and a half hours,but it took about 7 and a half.they had to send it to the lab to see it was cancerous,and instead of taking out some on the side that was the worst and the nodules out of the other side they had to take out the whole left side,and some calcium glands or somthing.i had to wait 2 weeks to make sure that it was really cancer free.before surgery dr.kora had too examine me to make sure i was physically able for surgery,and the other dr. put me thru other test to make sure that i could stand to be put to sleep.i was afraid dr. kora would not check on me when i was in hospital,so the day before i went in hospital,when he gave me my pre-op physical i asked him would i see him in the hospital,and with the reassurance of a father he said and i quote"oh yes".i had the surgery fri.14,2005,and he came in about 2:oopm smiling because he knew how scared i was about being put to sleep .he checked me over,and did his dr. thing.i know how that bill with a specialist,him,and being in the hospital for 4 days plus the surgery had to be in the thousands of dollars,but i still haven'nt recieved one yet.he is now my dr,and believe it or not a lot of times he does'nt even charge me the full price of a office call,like when i told him i was moving a couple of months ago,he took $15.00 off of my bill and i did'nt know it until i got to the front to pay it.he tells me where to go to get the cheapest meds.he tells to go to meirs' to get free antiotics when i need them.he's also my brother's dr.and when my brother lost his insurance he gives him samples meds every month for his bloodpressure,and high cholesteral until he gets insurance.summing up this man was sent by god.he helps those who can't help themselves.during this season of presidential politics if the politicians of both parties had one percent of his qualites we would all be a lot better off.because we would care about each other regardless of financial,racial,educational,religious staions in life.they would care simple because we are all human being.dr vidya kora cares god bless him
